Wonderful Family Thanksgiving
Perfect place for our family gathering. Six adults and two children had plenty of room and the views from the three balconies were amazing. The island weather was sunny and warm during the day and jacket weather at night. Even if it would have rained the whole time, the penthouse would have been the place to stay out of the weather and still enjoy our long weekend. We will definitely consider renting for our next visit.

The Aquarius Penthouse #2 was absolutely amazing! It was very tastefully decorated, clean and spacious. SPI Rentals did a great job!The penthouse had incredible views of the gulf and the beach was very nice.We made wonderful memories.

While the building is a bit dated, you can't beat the view from this penthouse. Five lovely ladies enjoyed every minute of our beach vacation. First time SPI visit for us and we hope to be back!!

Padre paradise in a rare 4 BR/ 3 Bath unit right on the beach with huge wrap-around balconies
Awesome experience! The pictures do not lie -- this condo is incredible! Fabulous master suite, spacious common areas, high ceilings give it a true penthouse feel, and everything is nicely appointed and tastefully decorated -- overall a terrific experience! Cold A/C, high def TV's, mini chef's kitchen that is well-furnished, and everything is clean and modern. This is probably the nicest and best maintained unit in a somewhat middle-aged building. The common areas were a little dated but in high demand nevertheless -- especially on the weekends (i.e, outdoor grills/ picnic tables, hot tub/ pool). The few complaints we could mention -- and really these are minor and aimed more at the property not the condi itself... no golf carts allowed in the gated parking area (that was a bummer), the luggage carts are old and rickety, the on-site property management was not very helpful, polite, or particularly experienced in facilities or hospitality management -- but my guess is that is the norm for South Padre in general -- not a lot of building management or hospitality talent to draw on. But don't let that stop you -- overall, Acquarius Penthouse #2 fits the bill and is highly recommended for a womderful large group/ extended family experience.

Family vacation
The accommodations were just what we wanted! The condo matched the photos that were displayed on line and that is not always the case. The location was very convenient and the views from the condo were awesome! The sleep number beds were very comfortable and the loft was perfect for the kids. And the SPI rental and Aquarius staff were very friendly and very efficient. We will stay there again!

Loved the SPI Aquarius 2 Penthouse
The folks at SPI Rentals were great - very responsive to our needs coming in, during and going out. This is a beautiful condo with great access to everything... Beach, Restaurants, Pool. We had such a great time we definitely will be coming back!

Penthouse Dahktari is a true beach front high-rise (10th floor) condominium with 3 bedrooms plus a kids sleeping loft and 3 bathrooms. You'll enjoy views of the beach, the jetties, the bridge, the bay, the channel and the Friday evening fireworks (in the summer). There are 3 balconys with miles of views.
Designed with an assortment of unique architectural elements, the Penthouse is in a class by itself. A number of antique doors, 15 foot ceilings, chandeliers, plant ledges, special lighting, marble floors, granite counter tops and an open loft are just a few of the unique elements incorporated in the design.
Totaling 1800 square feet, the floor plan is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath plus a kids sleeping loft. The space can accommodate up to 12 people. The loft is set up with kids in mind. They have their own TV. Two twin day beds, and 2 full sized beds make for a slumber party atmosphere. An ideal getaway regardless of the weather. Your kids will love this space! The 3rd bath is up here... be careful.. only 5' 9" head room.. :)
The condo complex is truly beach front (within 50 yards) and boasts one of the largest heated pools on the island. A large grassy area is available for those wishing to take in a game of croquet, soccer or volleyball. The penthouse floor has only 3 condos and the complex offers 24 hour security. The complex is located towards the southern end of the island and most local shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance.

About The Area
Penthouse Dahktari is located in Aquarius Condominium . With in 3 blocks you have Subway, Daddy's Seafood, Pizza Hut, Palm Street Pier,and Stripes gas station convince store to name a few. The complex has it's own private beach access. With only approx 5 miles of the Island being developed nothing is very far away. The Island Metro (formerly the Wave) Is a free transportation service that takes you up & down the Island over to Port Isabel. One of our favorite things to do is visit Sea Turtle Inc where they rehabilitate injured Sea Turtles. The Birding & Nature center is a great place for a nature walk on the bay side. Schlitterbahn waterpark is located on the south end of the Island. You will find tubing rivers, uphill water coasters, Boogie Bahn surfing rides, Torrent Tidal Wave Rivers and picnic areas with shade. There are dolphin watch tours, parasailing, fishing,kite boarding and many other water sports available.

March 1st to Easter bookings require a $1000 to $1500 refundable damage deposit.
Spring Break groups $35.00 per person wrist band fee may be applied.
You must be 30 to rent for Holy Week.
