We stayed at this lovely condo the week of New Years. We couldn’t have been more thankful for the private heated pool and hot tub since it was so cold and windy the week we were at the beach. My kids loved it and spent hours in the pool. The condo was super clean, well stocked and we loved having the washer and dryer available. We cooked in the kitchen every night and enjoyed the massage chair immensely! Bill was very nice and helpful, as was the SPI staff. They even came out NYE to check on the fridge (we noticed the fridge acting up) so they came and fixed it. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone, was perfect for our family and my inlaws that joined us.

Private pool and close to the beach
We enjoyed our stay. The property is close to the beach, restaurants, church, and the private pool was perfect for our family. It was also quite handy to have the washer/dryer on site. We would definitely consider renting this property again.

We really enjoyed our stay! My family of 8 had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and we loved the pool! It's was walking distance to the beach and close to the cafe on the beach which we love. Very happy with our choice.

Excellent choice for family vacation
Our family of four (two adults, kids age 8 and 14) loved this rental! The decor is bright and cheery, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well-stocked, and there is a full sized washer and dryer in the garage. Of course the favorite feature was the private pool and hot tub out back. The backyard is set up nicely with Adirondack chairs and a table set, and there is a gas grill available for use. The pool was the perfect temperature, and was well maintained. It's small, but perfect for floating in and relaxing. The walk to the beach is not too bad; maybe 5 minutes with kids? The management company was excellent; I've rented vacation homes around the world, and I found this to be one of the most professional and responsive companies that I have dealt with. There are great restaurants within a few minutes drive from this home. It is really a great, central location. I think 4-6 people for this house is probably optimal, based on its size.

This property was updated for the 2018 season, new tile flooring through out downstairs, up the stairs, through the 3 bedrooms.
New dining chairs, bar stools, art work, and a pantry closet added downstairs.

Rest is peaceful bedrooms outfitted with comfortable beds, luxurious linens and personal TVs. You will awaken cheerfully in a sunny master bedroom with a king sized, sleep number bed while your guests will enjoy private bedrooms, outfitted with televisions & topped with luxurious linens and plump, cozy pillows. A private master bath, a shared bath with a tub and shower combination for guests, plus a powder room downstairs, makes sharing the Cognito Townhouse convenient and homey for everyone.

About The Area
Cognito is located approx in the center of the Island on the Gulf side of Padre Blvd. With in 3 blocks you have The Palms beach front Restaurant (one of my favorites) Whata Burger, Padre Island Brewing Company, Wingstop, & Liams Steak House & Oyster Bar to name a few. A short 3 to 5 min walk to the beach, from the front door of Cognito. With only approx 5 miles of the Island being developed nothing is very far away. The Island Metro (formerly the Wave) Is a free transportation service that takes you up & down the Island over to Port Isabel. One of our favorite things to do is visit Sea Turtle Inc where they rehabilitate injured Sea Turtles. The Birding & Nature center is a great place for a nature walk on the bay side. Schlitterbahn waterpark is located on the south end of the Island. You will find tubing rivers, uphill water coasters, Boogie Bahn surfing rides, Torrent Tidal Wave Rivers and picnic areas with shade. There are dolphin watch tours, parasailing, fishing,kite boarding and many other water sports available.

You must be 25 or older to rent.
March 1st to Easter bookings require a $1000 to $1500 refundable damage deposit.
Spring Break groups $25.00 per person wrist band fee may be applied.
You must be 30 to rent for Holy Week.
Smoking is allowed outside, not permitted anywhere inside including garage area.
