Peaceful Paradise on the Lake
We just spent a great week here. The cottage was perfect, spacious, clean, well furnished and had everything we could possibly have needed and more! Ardie and Mike made us feel welcome from the first moment and were on hand throughout the week for anything we needed. Mike was a great help for my husband and kids and all their fishing needs - nothing was too much trouble. They caught so many fish we lost count! We enjoyed a wonderful evening BBQ hosted by Ardie and Mike with delicious food. Only one complaint.....a week wasn't long enough!

As for me, I took my journey to Watch Point to visit my longtime friend Ardie and husband, Mike. Not only to take a trip down memory lane with my friend, but to live in her new life with Mike. I was so happy I did! It was rewarding in every way. Down to a drop-in from her daughter Kelly and her family. I had not seen Kelly since she was a little girl and it was an unexpected pleasure. The reunion was amazing as Ardie, Mike, Kelly, and the rest of family are amazing! I stayed in the Inn itself which was special and was treated like a Queen. Living in Ardie's and Mike's world was without a doubt the greatest experience! So you see, there are many reasons to visit Watch Point Inn and Cottages. The Charisma will draw you back time and again after time as it will become your traditional location place.

Cozy & Off the Beaten Path
A rustic lakefront getaway, off the beaten path with wonderful amenities (hot tub, BBQ, large cabin, ON the lake). The proprietors, Ardie & Mike, couldn't have been more hospitable and helpful. The cabin was comfortable, recently updated, well-equipped with a full kitchen and super quiet. Minutes from the ferry to Ft. Ticonderoga/NY Lake George. The drive through the apple orchards and woods is idyllic and delightful. People considering a visit should know that the nearest gas station/food mart is a 10 minute drive and virtually all eateries and tourist sites require a significant drive.

The Golden Eagle cottage sleeps 7 and is newly renovated with beautiful craftsmanship;cathedral ceiling with gable windows; The Blue Heron sleeps 6 and is nestled in a very charming spot with beautiful views of the lake and sunsets. The largest, The Osprey sleeps 8-9 and has also westernly views with a screened in large porch and all cottages having beautiful views to the south, north & west! Each cottage has an aluminum rowboat for fishing, floating, or just packing a lunch and going for a ride (weather permitting)*The grounds are gorgeous as are the sunsets! It's Ideal for children as it is located on private dead end rd. We are located minutes to restaurants, deli's, churches, apple & berry orchards & more! The property is a short drive to Middlebury for medical ER, shopping, theaters, museums, & the college. There are many golf courses, antiquing, & more nearby. All cottages have a complete kitchen, Sat TV, dock for your boat/s, & on site a bait & tackle mini shop. Fri. nights we have a BBQ night & weather permitting a bon fire during the week. There is a mini store for purchase of 'needed' supplies & dvds are for rent. With reservations you may wish to take a scenic 'historical' tour of the lake on our motor boat! The newly constructed Champlain Bridge is a short distance by motor boat & approx. 1/2 hr by land. Larrabee's Point Ferry is about 15 min. by land, & 5 min. by motor boat. There you can take the Ferry to Ticonderoga, NY &/or the Fort, another historical site on the lake! Our property is ideal for events such as weddings, anniversaries, bridal showers, bachelor/ettes & more! We also have a professional photographer on site (add'l fee) If you wish to have your event at Watch Point, we have a beautiful deck with spectacular views as a backdrop (catering; tents; available please inquire). Book early to reserve a stay in one of the cottages! You may reserve by the weekend, (3 night min.) week, month, or season! Fall foliage season is a minimum two night stay.
*Aluminum rowboats are Not permitted to go out on the water when either: the lake is rough, or bad weather due to storms! No children under the age of 16 is permitted to take a boat out without an Adult & all boaters Must have a life jacket on, (per person).
Please check out our site For baters bringing their own boats, our property and docks can accomodatesmall motor boats (up to 22' and fishing boats and rowboats. Larger boats would need to be docked at a marina which is about 2 miles south of Watch Point. If you are unsure about the size of your boat please inquire!

Come & enjoy this beautiful area with our golden & bald eagles, falcons, hawks, osprey, and catch the big cat fish, bass, no. pike & more! Enjoy the scenic mts. & the beautiful sunsets right from your own deck or porch! Enjoy our weekly bonfires (weather permitting) & Friday evening BBQ's by our on premises cook! Enjoy a scenic ride on our motor boat or take a ride in one the rowboat provided with each cottage or have your own cookout in the back area of your own cottage! Ideal location for children since there is no traffic but for the other guests & owners on the property! Bring your dog! Don't leave him/her in a kennel! For a min. chg., you can bring your loved pet with you & not leave him @ home! (Please inquire). You will love our location, it is truly a one of a kind property! In the late spring or early summer you can drive to the orchards & pick your own strawberries, raspberries, etc. And the fall season we have the best orchards in New England for apple picking!
