Dallas Morning News article 3/26/84 states: The sad truth is that Sale Street just became too valuable to remain charming. During the 70's and 80's an annual Sale Street Fair was held in conjunction with Neiman Marcus Fortnight. It was held right outside this property and there were as many as 600 artisans.
