We chose Steven and Ann's place because of its proximity to our son's college. It turned out to be close to everything else we needed in the area. Steven has done a great job of giving directions to the place, and how to access the apartment. It was clean, well furnished, and perfect for the two of us.

Stephen went above and beyond to make things work for us. He offered shopping tips, travel advice and just good cheer. The space is private, pleasant, clean and well-furnished. This is a great option for being near New York but with a lot less bustle. Thank you so much!

In suburban White Plains.
Ideal for single or a couple. Only minutes from White Plains train station to NYC. Quiet neighborhood. Host was very accommodating, and helpful in getting us settled.

We have a lovely home in Westchester, NY with a completely separate, self-contained one-bedroom, one-bath apartment with kitchenette dinning area, parking and WiFi . We are centrally located to New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut. It is just 3 miles from downtown White Plains and 1.5 miles from North White Plains Train Station. From the North White Plains Train Station (Metro North Line) it is between 35 and 55 minutes to Grand Central Station at 42nd Street in NYC. We are 12 miles to the Connecticut border at Greenwich (car) and 13 miles to the Tappan Zee Bridge taking you West to New Jersey also by car.
Our Apartment is a totally separate unit accessed from outside for your totally privacy. The unit is built into a vintage 1932 all-stone home with quarried rocks right from this area. The 4-room apartment is 400 sq. ft. and features 1-bedroom with double bed, desk and night stand, shower/bath, kitchenette and living room with couch and TV (Roku, DVD), 5 windows . The apartment has it's own court yard that's fenced in and on the other side of that are large trees for even more privacy.
You have total access to the apartment and don't share any entrance or rooms with the house it's built into. The apartment is 100% yours!
We're here if you need us, but again if you like privacy, you've got it!
We moved to this area for the same reasons you'll love staying here. White Plains is nestled in the heart of Westchester County, which is accessible to Connecticut, New Jersey, NY Sound, and of course New York City.
Our neighborhood is both rural and woodsy, but also only a few miles to downtown White Plains and the freeways to the water, CT and NJ. There is so much to see and do in these parts, it would be impossible to list. Just know that there's plenty to keep you active and busy! We recommend using Google to find museums, farmers markets, shops, super-markets, etc.
Our apartment is comfy for 2 or even 3 people. Your 3rd person can stay on the living room couch or use our queen AeroBed. Everyone who stays with us loves it and the area for it's charm and convenience.
