Perfect for family fun.

We had a great time with both adults and children enjoying themselves. The lake was great and having the kayaks was so much fun for the kids. We brought a boat and found launching in Sodus Point easy and within 5 minutes from camp. Everything was clean, had plenty of towels and washer and dryer come in handy. Jan was very easy to work with. We drove 800 miles to stay here and would do it over again but for longer next time.

Soooo relaxing!

We stayed two nights from Friday to Sunday. Weather was gorgeous! We loved having coffee on the back deck in the morning. House was very clean and comfortable. Jan was there to meet us when we arrived and was always available by text or phone if we had any problems - which we didn't Our son and his girlfriend took the paddle boat out and it was beautiful on the lake. Our beagle also had a great time hunting down all the smells! We walked around Beechwood Syate park (an abandoned Girl Scout camp). Spooky and fun! Thank you Jan for a great weekend!!

The vacation I'd hoped for

We really enjoyed our stay at this property and agree with other reviewers' comments. The house was very clean inside, and we had no problems with bugs or anything else. The outside of the place could really use some TLC - gutters almost falling down, large branches over the back deck that should be trimmed back. There are also some steps in strange places in the house as well as the deck that could be a hazard for someone not so sure on their feet. The ceiling tiles in the living room and bedrooms are stained and some look close to falling down. I wasn't a fan of the tap water - it seems to have a water softener system, but still smells questionable and nothing ever felt very clean after washing. That being said, I would stay here again. The views were beautiful, the area was quiet and remote, and Jan really made every effort to make the place welcoming and comfortable for all visitors. We especially enjoyed kayaking every day and were often the only people on the water as far as you could see. The fire pit area was really nice. Jan also provided all sorts of info on things to do and places to go. We went to Burnap's Garden Market and Cafe a couple of times for meals, morning coffee, and ice cream - only a mile away and really great!

Great family getaway.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ferryland cottage. Everyone found something to do from hiking to kayaking and enjoying the beach to just enjoying the shady deck. The cottage is very comfortable and the large open living room/dining room was the perfect place to relax and rest up for the next adventure. Thank you Jan for a great vacation.
