The lake is approximately 29 miles in length, 5 miles wide at its widest point. The home is within the view of the southern border of the Adirondack Mountain Range (just across the lake). The lake offers excellent fishing, amazing sunset views and comfortable water temperatures for swimming June through September.
The home has 4 bedrooms with 2 King Master Suites and private baths with one encompassing the private 3rd floor area. 3 Bathroom house having one bathroom on each Floor. of the 3 floors. There is a outdoor private balcony off the second floor off the master bedroom suite. The master suite bedrooms are furnished with furniture from the Hemingway collection by Thomasville. The second floor also has one of the two King Master Suites and a 2nd bedroom with a queen size bed. The second of two living rooms in the home is on the 2nd floor.
With 60 feet of private beach and 125 feet of boat docking space your choices of activities are endless (two each waterslide for the children).If you like water sports, you can swim, boat, fish, sail or water-ski. A row boat, canoes and kayaks are provided. You can enjoy the flowers in the garden and the awesome sunsets. Bring the family to the lake and plan on having a vacation you'll always remember. The views from the attached decks are fantastic. The beach is just 200 feet from the home. (no roads to cross) The only thing you need to bring are the groceries and your clothes - - all the cooking utensils, extra large outdoor grill and lawn furniture are provided. Inside the tastefully decorated 13 year old, 4000 sq. feet home. You'll find a high end Sub Zero refrigerator, microwave, Wolf six burner gas range, dishwasher, 38 bottle wine cooler and a Whirlpool stackable washer and dryer there for your usage. Enjoy the screened-in outdoor Gazebo with swing seats or the outdoor deck which has seating for 25. two tables with eight chairs each and two large umbrellas.

After dark, pour your self a glass of wine and relax next to the outdoor fire-pit, your options are endless. The GREAT SACANDAGA LAKE (formerly the SACANDAGA RESERVOIR (name changed) is in fact a true reservoir and reaches its maximum depth and water volume the end of April & the first part of May.
From June through August the water level slowly recedes depending on amount of rainfall and extreme hot summer weather conditions. By mid September in our very sheltered bay the water levels may or may not be suitable for swimming, fishing or boating however many boaters continue to rent our facilities and launch their boats daily from the public launch which is just 3 miles down the road and utilize other parts of the lake for there boating pleasure.
The months of May, June, July & August have very predictable later levels and are the best months to fulfill you lake recreational needs.

Great Sacandaga Lake In The Adirondacks
The Great Sacandaga Lake is one of the Adirondacks' largest lakes, measuring 29 miles long and about 5 miles wide at its widest point. It's a haven for outdoor adventure, offering plenty of activity and adventure in all four seasons. And lakeside dining on the Sacandaga is one of a kind! The Great Sacandaga Lake was formerly known as the Sacandaga Reservoir. Before the Sacandaga Valley was flooded in 1930, the Sacandaga River and Hudson River caused periodic flooding in nearby areas each spring, which devasted many businesses in local communities. The Conklingville Dam was begun in the 1920's to put an end to the flooding. The work cost about $12 million and was paid for by the businesses who would stand to benefit from the project. Upon completion, over 280 billion gallons of water flooded the valley to create what is now the Great Sacandaga Lake.

Tucked away in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, the Great Sacandaga Lake is surrounded by towering pines and natural beauty in the northeastern corner of Fulton County. Much of the lake is located in the southeastern part of the forever-wild Adirondack Park Preserve. Bordering towns include Broadalbin, Mayfield, Northville, Edinburg, West Day, Conklingville, Batchellerville, Fayville and Fish House

Performing arts and visual arts are vital in Fulton County; community theater and civic bands are a presence in the two major cities. There are a number of art galleries in the county, including the Perrella Gallery at Fulton-Montgomery Community College in Johnstown and the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts in Gloversville. Additionally, the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network, an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, cultural development entity, annually sponsors a series of concerts, lectures, workshops and artist receptions. They also curate galleries at the Vail Mills Tourism Information Center at the intersection of Routes 29 and 30 in Vail Mills and the Northville Public Library.
