This place is a jewel in the pristine Adirondacks.

Our stay at Northpoint was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long while. The water, air and comfortable sleeping conditions make for a very restful stay. The lake has competitive sailboat racing in the summer which provides some exciting sports viewing in the afternoon. The mountain and lake view from the house is priceless. The nearby fire pit hosted nightly bonfires where we roasted marsh mellows whenever we could. Access to your own private adjacent island allows for swimming and fishing anytime. This place is a jewel in the pristine Adirondacks.

"Wonderful combination of wilderness and comfort."

My wife and I stayed at Northpoint Camp earlier this Summer and had such a peaceful & relaxing time we are going back in Sept.! Wonderful combination of wilderness and comfort -- perfect for couples or for families with children. Leave the electronics behind and enjoy the peace, quiet and lonely calls of the wild loon. We watched 2 adults trying to teach their young one to dive and for 3 days it would only look beneath the surface as if to say it was still too dark and scary down there! Awesome!! Renew thyself each day with a swim at dawn and take in the full majesty of the night sky without town or city lights to disturb and enjoy a picnic atop Mt. St. Regis as we did. Hiking, swimming, canoeing, fishing all available -- bring in your provisions and you won't have to see a car for a week! On rainy days we read by the warm and crackling fire with our cups of hot coffee and thus they too were a joy. Northpoint Camp was home to the first year-round resident on Upper St. Regis Lake - a pioneer woman who travelled the world on hiking adventures and the cabin is appointed with Tibetan rugs, memorabilia, and her personal library. Staying here you are surrounded by a heritage and history which is a rarity in most standard rental arrangements -- a stepping back in time to a simpler yet harsher way of life which makes Northpoint a unique and educational experience. Lynn and Jim provide excellent hospitality and are discreetly available at all times to answer questions, give advice etc. Highly Recommended!! "There are none so happy as those who enjoy freely a vast horizon" Damodara as quoted bt H.D. Thoreau in Walden.

"The views of the lake and Saint Regis mountain were amazing."

My parents and I stayed at the lovely lakeside cottage. We arrived at the boat dock and were promptly whisked away to the cottage via boat by our welcoming hosts. We brought in lots of food and drinks. The cottage was beautiful inside and out. The views of the lake and Saint Regis mountain were amazing. We enjoyed a dinner of steaks cooked on the grill and a roasted marshmallows over the campfire at the fire pit. The cool mountain air provided a lovely nights sleep and the hot showers in the morning were fabulous. The cottage was cozy and decorated beautifully. All of the linens, cookware and essentials were available, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this cottage to any family looking for a beautiful mountain and lake vacation.
