White Tail Run is a year round residence ideally located on the shores of Oseetah Lake, just minutes from downtown Lake Placid or the Village of Saranac Lake. The Lake is surrounded by mountains and offers some of the best fishing and boating in the Adirondacks.
The camp is a new 3-story year round home, with 4 bedrooms, a large loft that converts to a sleep area, 3 1/2 baths, laundry facilities, gourmet kitchen, large dining area, and a great room with cathedral ceilings. A large stone, gas-fired fireplace adorns the great room. The large deck, which is attached to the front of the house facing the lake, is a favorite spot for late afternoon gatherings. The home also features an enclosed porch with beautiful lake and mountain views. Access to the property is by private road which is maintained on a year round basis. Travel by automobile to the Village of Saranac Lake or Lake Placid is about 15 minutes either way.ESPN choose Oseetah Lake as one of the fishing site during the Great Outdoor Games. The lake is also home to a wide variety of bird life including Loons, Great Blue Herons and Bald Eagles. The summer issue of Life Magazine stated that Oseetah Lake is the best vantage point for viewing eagles in the Adirondacks. The lake is connected to four other lakes in the Saranac Chain all of which are accessible by boat, canoe or Kayak. These lakes include Middle & Lower Saranac, Kiwassa and Lake Flower. A boat launch is available just down the road from the camp. During the summer a private swimming area is also available nearby.
Summer months offer hikers and climbers of all levels some of the most challenging and beautiful terrain in North America. Golf enthusiasts will find some of the finest championship caliber golf course in and around the area. The area is a virtual paradise for all to enjoy the great outdoors. In the winter time, the frozen lake is ideal for cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Whiteface Mountain, site of the 1980 Olympics, and ranked Number 1 in the East by Ski Magazine is a 25 minutes drive.
