The kitchen has a 4 chair dining table, while the living/dining room has its own six chair formal dining table, Murphy bed, sofa and armchairs. A closet area off the living /dining room towards the middle of the building houses the second Murphy bed, a dresser and clothes hangers that can be closed off by two massive original sliding doors. The apartment has its own Wifi internet connection and satellite Direct TV servicing a 34' TV screen. The house: The building itself, an 1892 Brownstone five-story jewel, is located right on the cross town bus route, between the two subway lines serving the West side of Manhattan. The close subway and bus access means that the rest of the City - MOMA, Lincoln Center, the Empire State building, United Nations, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Theater District, for starters, are just a few minutes away. It’s across Columbus Avenue from the new Planetarium and the old Museum of Natural History. Being a block from Central Park means that a few minutes walk gets you to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the other Museum Mile occupants on Fifth Avenue. Eating and drinking: Going the other way out the door gets you to Zabar’s famous delicatessen and, down Broadway a bit, Fairway supermarket with its extensive fish, meat and fruit and vegetable markets. Good wine stores are common. For non-cookers, the sheer number and ethnic variety of restaurants within only a few blocks is huge.
