Sunburst was the perfect setting for our trip. The house is a great size, and the property centrally located for anything you want to do in town, or just to have a relaxing time on the lake.

Perfect Lake Placid Rental for Families
Our family of six adults and six children spent Thanksgiving 2016 at the Sunburst. We found the Sunburst to be the perfect location for our family gathering. The home is very spacious. We enjoyed the open concept of the first floor and everyone appreciated the joy of having their own bathroom! We found the entire house to be spotlessly clean, warm and cozy. The full size refrigerator, stove and dishwasher enabled us to prepare a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Since the house is located directly on Mirror Lake you have an unobstructed view of the lake and surrounding scenery. Just beautiful, and so peaceful. Having arrived in the cold weather we unfortunately did not get to utilize the fire pit, the large jacuzzi and boats. Although covered with snow when we were there, the house has a large grassy yard leading down to the water’s edge and would be perfect for warmer weather activities. Another feature we loved about the house was its proximity to the village. It is only a short walk to shopping and a multitude of restaurants. We would highly recommend a stay at the Sunburst and we’re hoping to return sometime in the future. Gary & Marie

Perfect Long Weekend Location
The house was lovely, the bedrooms were all comfortable, everything was neat and tidy. We had a really fabulous time and our group loved being so close to the Lake Placid Village! Your property is second to none, and we enjoyed being caretakers for the weekend.

Beautiful Cottage!
Our weekend in Lake Placid for a surprise 70th,40th and 27th birthday party was great! We loved every minute of our stay, your cottage is beautiful and a great layout for my family(11 of us) They were surprised and overwhelmed with the whole setting. It made for an unforgettable weekend!

Best Location! Beautiful Cottage!
We had the best time ever during our stay! Your cottage is beautiful and is in the best location on mirror lake! The bedrooms were all very spacious and having a bathroom in each one was very nice for our large group. The property is gorgeous as well. We took full advantage of the paddle boards and hot tub daily! Can't wait to go back!

Sunburst is the premier rental cottage on Mirror Lake. It is a one of a kind lakeside cottage that has 6 bedrooms each with their own bath. There also is a sleep sofa balcony and 3 of the bedrooms also have sleep lofts.
There is a wrap-around lake side deck with a 6 person hot tub. There is a covered wrap-around porch on the street side with 5 rockers for people watching. A large lawn is available for receptions, sports and games and a Lean-to is available for sleep outs or performances by children.
There are 2 docks plus a floating dock with excellent fishing, swimming and boating access. Children will enjoy catching fish in less than 30 seconds using worms.
There are 5 kayaks, 2 canoes, 1 paddle-board, and 2 windsurfers which can also be used as paddle boards. The beach area also has a fire pit for roasting marsh-mellows and singing campfire songs.
There is a swing located at the beach for cuddling or relaxing reading. There are plenty of Adirondack chairs for rest and watch the ducks, fish, and boaters.
Sunburst is located on the much used popular red brick 2.4 mile sidewalk that surrounds Mirror Lake. Children will enjoy selling lemonade to the numerous pedestrian traffic while Adirondack covered porch on the street side with 5 rocking chairs provides an excellent people watching site.
