Great Vacation Location

We had a wonderful stay again this year as we did last year and our family can't wait until we go back for another week on Keuka Lake. The weather couldn't have been better and as usual fishing was superb. We always enjoy the live entertainment from the restaurant next door and always nice to meet and converse with people we meet that park in front of the Waterfront. Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere for a great vacation. The neighbors are always friendly and great with information on where the hot fishing spots are around the lake. Thanks again to our host for making this another memorable year at Keuka Lake.

Comfortable place in a beautiful location!

The layout of the cottage is wide open with large picture windows and plenty of space to entertain. This beautiful Keuka Lake cottage is conveniently located right next to the Waterfront restaurant and about 10 min north of Hammondsport. Our young group of couples enjoyed a relaxing 4 day stay. The live music at the restaurant was like having a private concert to ourselves. There was plenty of space to park our cars for all of our guests. The cottage is located just below the split in the "Y shape" lake, which allows for broader views of the landscape. you have a great view from anywhere on the property. The lake front stone bottom is perfect for casual swimming. There is an island dock/pod to relax on or tie up an air tube to. I've read noise complaints about the music from the restaurant next door. Although, we truly enjoyed the added entertainment but I can understand why some families with younger kids would be bothered by the noise. The only issues we had during our stay was the charcoal grill outside was a little small and unstable. Also the kitchen is small, making it some what difficult when cooking for a large group. We usually had 2 to 3 people in the kitchen helping prep meals. All of our friends had a blast and have already booked a stay for 2016! Thanks Suzan for everything, we look forward to staying at your place again!

A must rent!

Renting summer homes as frequently as we do, my husband and I rely heavily upon the ratings of previous guests. I must admit, reviews on this home were hit or miss. After spending an entire week in this lovely home, I will tell you, it was a HIT! What a beautifully designed home! Let's face it, one day of rain could ruin any vacation and usually, you're piled up on top of one another.. Not in this home! There is so much space, it is unreal. Never once did any of us suffocate the other. We had more room than the pictures give justice. The outside property is just as roomy. Our children (both old and young) were able to play Kan Jam in the yard next to the home while the adults relaxed on the tiered decks... For those that wish to be right next to the water, there is ample room to just "lay in the sun". For those that wish to take a rest, away from the water (and noise of the party), there is plenty of room on the upper deck to just sit and enjoy the beautiful views. Parking was never a problem! Considering we had a party of 9 plus, multiple vehicles were able to be parked with no issue whatsoever. The garage was an excellent place for us to store our coolers as well! In regards to the bar next door, we truly enjoyed the live music. Never once were we upset about the noise! If we had young children/babies, we would just have chose the back bedroom in which you can not hear any noise from next door. The only night that we may have had a problem (if we did, which we did not) would be Friday's and Saturday's.. My suggestions for the house would be a new toaster and possibly a Keurig, two items we could have brought with us and will perhaps we choose Keuka again in the future since we would definitely stay at this awesome home again. As another review stated, water is basically free of weeds and perfect for swimming... If you like to completely avoid touching the bottom of the lake at all, bring an inner tube since right beyond the dock, it does become deep... it's perfect! Again, my reviews? DEF 5 STARS!

Beautiful house and great fishing

House was beautifully decorated and ample living space. House was located just south of the bluff and was a great location for lake trout fishing and was more than pleased with the results. Also fly fishing was great for bass just off shore. Another plus was accessing the house without ascending or descending numerous stairs in the process. A nice added feature was access to a 2 bay enclosed garage which is rarely heard of when renting. There is a nice weed free swimming area for small children and also a floating dock located in front of large deck in front of house. My family had a great time and looking forward to next year to enjoy another week at beautiful Keuka Lake. Suzan was a very gracious host and made our stay very enjoyable and would highly recommend this rental to family and friends.

Beautiful House

We had a fantastic time and we are going to go back again next year. I spent alot of time on line so I could find a great summer vacation for my whole family, and I found it. My family can't wait to go again next summer. Suzan is a really nice person and helped make our vacation prefect. The house has a great set up, the downstairs is open and lots of room. All of the bedrooms are a great size and the master bedroom has not only a beautiful view but a huge walk in closet. There is a boat launch that you can use next door and a firepit. You also have a 2 car garage that you can use, not many cottages will let you use their garages. Nice large deck. The swimming was great. There was not alot of seaweed and my grandkids had a great place were they could play in the water. We loved the bar/resturant next door. We had a free band playing every Sun. afternoon which we could enjoyed from our deck. The bar was closed early during the week and on week ends it was quiet by 11:00 pm. There was also a few wineries and a brewery very near by. Hammonsport is a very nice small town only 15 mins. away. We have told many of our friends and family that if they want a place to go on Keuka Lake this was a great place. The neighbor next door was freindly and helpful. He gave us alot of great tips where to go fishing.
