Only a short walk takes you to the F, G and R subway train. Also, the area offers countless cafés, restaurants shops and bars, including a grand Shuffle Board alley and the new Whole Foods Market is located a mere 3 minute walk away.
This apartment is perfect for one person or a couple. All furniture is brand new with some beautiful vintage pieces and special art works to enhance the atmosphere. The space is clean and quiet with a lovely garden view from the balcony out back. The bathroom and kitchen are all new with beautiful European designer fixtures and there is a bath tub.
I (the host) am an artist of Swiss origin. The apartment is located in the building which also houses my artist studio. I don't usually use loud power tools, but do most of my work using quiet hand craft techniques. The ground floor houses a garage which serves as a work space and the 3rd floor houses my sewing and drawing studio. The Bondtastic renal unit is on the 2nd floor. On the roof of the building there is a stunning and lush roof garden for shared outdoor enjoyment. As the roof deck is only accessible through my private art studio I hold the right to give tenants access to the roof deck upon my own discretion. However, it is in my interest and gives me great pleasure to share the beauty of this place!
My primary incentive for hosting is my love for meeting people and exchanging stories! I am always approachable and happy to assist guests with helpful tips on how to get around Brooklyn and Manhattan to make your stay unforgettable. I've made beautiful friendships through this hosting process!!
This apartment is all new and beautifully renovated. Therefore I cannot permit any small children or medium to big size pets. All renters will be asked to read and sign a renter's agreement, in which all the house rules and ways of how the place works well are indicated in detail.
Through this hosting process I am opening of my private house to people I have never met. Therefore, in order to give me ample feeling of trust, it is necessary for all applicants to FULLY fill out their profile with pictures and descriptions before applying to help me judge, if the tenants and property are a good match. (including ID please). I cannot rent out this unit without ample understanding of the applicant's living habits and also habits of taking care of their living quarters.
This brand new home is designed with great love and care and decorated with many of my own and also my friend's art works. I didn't save any expenses to make this place very lovely. Therefore I expect my guests to enjoy the place leave it the way they found it, so the beauty of this oasis can be preserved! The final cleaning, of course, will be done by the house keeper.
It is a non smoking apartment and I kindly ask guests from refraining of organizing any gatherings beyond six people.

Gowanus is an exciting historic neighborhood conveniently located between Park Slope and Carroll gardens with easy access to the Subway that takes you into Manhattan. Charming neighborhood with beautiful architecture little bridges and historic homes with beautiful gardens. In this neighborhood there are countless art and crafts studios, little shops and many things to discover.
Getting around:
F, G and R trains are within walking distance, as are local busses. F and R are direct trains to Manhattan and G is the most direct train to Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Queens. F also takes you to the Coney Island historic beach, aquarium and theme park.
