Our three bedroom cottage features a NEW kitchen and vaulted ceilings in every room. Three bedrooms comfortably sleep six guests in two double beds and two twin beds. We supply blankets, pillows and mattress pads. Guests bring sheets, pillow cases, personal towels and paper goods. The open plan kitchen-living area is a natural gathering place made cozy by a wood burning stove. The new kitchen, completed in Spring 2016, is fully equipped to include an electric stove/oven, a large refrigerator/freezer, cooking and eating utensils, toaster, microwave & coffeemaker. The table expands to seat six persons. There's a new flat screen TV and a VCR for your enjoyment. A helpful information binder informs renters of popular things to see and do in the area. The bathroom features a shower and a new sink, mirror and vanity. Outdoors you can relax on the deck, toast marshmallows in a campfire, grill and use the large picnic table.
Come and enjoy fresh Adirondack air and clean, pure mountain lakes. Our sand beach is an excellent place for young and old alike to build sand castles, make new friends and swim in safe, clear water which gradually deepens. The beach is a private beach shared by several camp owners. It is only steps away and there are no steep stairs. There are benches and a raft for swimming and it's the perfect place to watch the sunset. Swimming and non-motorized boating are safe from fast moving, noisy watercraft, as motorized boats are not permitted. However, if you have a motorboat or jet ski, Pleasant Lake is right next to larger Brantingham Lake and the boat launch is only 1/4 mile down the road. A canoe, kayak, paddles and life vests are included in the rental for additional recreation. There are well groomed trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding and ATVs. Golfers can enjoy a public 18-hole course just a mile away.
Restaurants and a post office are within walking distance. There is a natural water slide for tubing on Otter Creek. Fishing is good in our lake as well as other lakes, rivers, and streams. Double feature movies can be seen at the old fashion Valley Brook Drive-In five minutes away. The Brantingham Arts Council offers exciting programs and activities throughout the summer.
