Fantastic House and Location

Our family of 6 stayed here and had a wonderful time. The house is very roomy and well appointed, with Brandon and his maintenance person readily available if needed. The neighborhood is quiet and well maintained; we saw nothing "shady" during any of our many walks. The location is close (within walking distance) to really neat, "local" restaurants, bars and shopping. Everyone we met was very nice and gave us helpful tips about the area - "local" things to see and do. The street car stop was a short walk away and a very convenient way to get to Magazine Street, the Garden District, French Quarter, etc. Roberts Grocery is at the end of the line at South Claiborne & South Carrollton Streets. I recommend buying the 24 hour pass for $3.00 and hop on and off as much as you like. The area is amazing! We really enjoyed Brandon's house and will stay there in the future. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.

Good property for a weekend in New Orleans

Visited NO for my son's college graduation and had a great time. We were a party of 6 with two adults over 70. Even though the property is practically 3 stories high we had no issues with the stairs but its something to consider with older folks or little kids. Other than that, the house is in very good shape, clean and all amenities worked. Basic cable and internet worked without a problem. Brandon, the owner, has a handy man available in case of any issues with the property. If you know NO you know neighborhoods can be great one block and kind of shady the next. This property is right next to Oak street with bars, restaurants and shops on one side and a shady neighborhood on the other, but that is just NO. If you are looking for a place Uptown close to Loyola or Tulane this is a great place to stay. Brandon was always available via phone or email.

Nola Graduation Celebration with family

The house is very clean and exactly as promised in description. The neighborhood is quiet with Oak St. close by. We found it useful to use UBER on the the way to convention center and Bourbon St. and took taxis back to house. There were plenty of towels, extra sheets for futon, and TV in every bedroom and living room. We didn't cook but could have with the provided pans and utensils. I wish that there were more wine glasses --we only had two but used our own in our gift bags provided for the graduation celebration. We spent some time on front porch and got to know the adjacent neighbors who were really nice. Brandon was very responsive to email inquiries and everything from booking to checkin/our went very smoothly. I would highly recommend for family or girls' /boys' events. I can't wait to come back.

Great house, great neighborhood

Everything was as advertised -- very clean, well-restored house. Fair price/excellent value. We loved the neighborhood and had a fantastic visit. Can't wait to come back!

We loved this house!

This house was very clean and well furnished. We had a group of 8 and we all fit comfortably. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood and close to a lot of restaurants/bars. We walked to Jacques-Imos, Maple leaf bar and few other bars/restaurants on Oak Street. We took an uber to the French Quarter everyday. The ubers were always at the house within 3 minutes of requesting and it was an inexpensive trip from the house to French Quarter. The owner was very nice, responded quickly to all of my emails, and he was very easy to work with.

This was the perfect location for our family to visit NOLA but not have to deal with the craziness of downtown. The house was clean, well furnished, and a great solution for our large family.

Great stay in Riverbend

Overall our stay was great (location, space, quality of the home, comfy beds, plenty of towels, very clean, etc). The home has lots of character and the location is perfect for locals and tourists alike - only a very short walk to Nola gems like Jacques-Imo's and Maple Leaf Bar. The house worked out perfectly for our big group of young women.

Real New Orleans

If you have never been to New Orleans, this is house is the perfect place to stage from. My family and I stayed at this house on a recent trip to New Orleans and it was perfect (we are from NOLA). The neighborhood is a great neighborhood, with easy access to all parts of the city. The house itself is clean and well maintained. Check-in and check-out is simple and the owner easy to work with.

Beautiful Clean House with Great Location

I just returned from the second weekend of Jazz Fest, and had a wonderful stay with a group of six people. We loved the house, which is located just a block from the Maple Leaf, is in great shape, and has a nice porch out front for enjoying a cold one before hitting the town. There are ample coffee shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance, including Carrollton Station and Snake and Jake's. And the Rock and Bowl is only a mile away. The Quarter is only a few miles away, but by staying in the Uptown area, you wake up to clean streets and shady sidewalks. I would happily stay again or recommend it to friends!

Great location

We stayed here for a second time a few weeks ago. The house is great and the owner is straight forward and easy to deal with. Most importantly Oak street is the place to be these days. We were sick of staying in the touristy quarter and we will forever stay in this uptown area when in New Orleans. Make sure to spend at least one night dancing at the Maple Leaf!!

Best location, Great condition

The location was perfect, walking distance to Oak street, restaurants, cafes and the best was the street car stop was just a block away. Nice neighborhood. Can take trolley to French Quarter or just 15 mins drive. We preferred trolley !! House is very well maintained, and has kept an old charm. Very clean. Nice porch. Big kitchen. Family room was little small, but perfect. Enjoyed a lot.

Great hang steps from Oak St & great shops, music!

We just enjoyed a wonderful stay - such a relaxing & wonderful neighborhood & yet a short 15 minute drive from the French Quarter, or a scenic ride on the trolley! Wonderful period detail in this restored property - already planning our next stay

Girls trip

There were 7 girls that went on my trip to New Orleans. The house was perfect for us. So cute! I loved it so much, I didn't want to leave, I just wanted to move right in. Haha. It's in a safe neighborhood, I never felt like I wasn't safe. It is mostly college aged people living around the house. We walked to the super delicious jacque-imo's. There are plenty of little bars, coffee shops, and restaurants all within walking distance. We drove downtown to go out on bourbon st, it is a super easy 10 minute drive. Brandon was also very accommodating, he answered all my questions, answered my emails promptly and returned my deposit in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and definitely want to return soon!! Thanks for the great experience, Brandon!

Wonderful stay

Great spot, and a cool house. We walked over to the Maple Leaf and caught Rebirth Brass band one night, and John Clearly and George Porter with Johnny Vidocovitch another night. Great food up and down Oak street, but besides Jacquimos, which is of course the famous- must eat spot, we enjoyed Oak Wine bar, with good food and free bands each night. Good stuff…. the house had plenty of space, clean and all that important stuff….

Oak street is the spot

This area is super underrated, its one of the coolest local spots in NOLA. The house was legit and business was straight shooting too... I wish I lived on this block though. This was our second time staying off Oak Street.

Perfect Home in Perfect Location

Four girlfriends and I stayed in NOLA for a long weekend in mid-January. This house fit our needs perfectly! First of all, the location was fabulous. Easy access to and from the airport. And, the street car, which we took daily, was about 3 blocks away - very convenient, and a leisurely stroll morning and night. While the street car was a bit of an adventure (construction made is necessary to shift to the bus for a few blocks), we enjoyed the ride and the fact that we did not need a car during our stay. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. The home itself was terrific and the photos are an accurate reflection of it. It was very spacious, clean, well maintained, and equipped with all of the essentials. The beds were comfortable - we used all three bedrooms (but did not use the extra mattress which was available). The showers were awesome - nice water pressure and temperature. The kitchen was well equipped however, we chose not to cook since we were in NOLA and had such great restaurants to choose from. Lastly, Brandon was very easy to work with. He patiently answered all of our questions and was available by telephone during our stay if needed. We would highly recommend this home to others!
