Went to NOLA for my husband's birthday, looking for a relaxing weekend. Just steps from Magazine Street where you can find a wide variety of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. St Charles Street trolley is a few blocks away, and an Uber to the French Quarter was just under $7. Quiet, safe neighborhood. The studio apartment is in the back yard, and is surrounded with lush greenery and patio seating, perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Owners were very friendly and welcoming, but not obtrusive. Found parking close but most spaces were full during our stay. Will definitely try to stay here on our next trip.

Clean and comfortable. Great location!
We loved staying at Matilde's guest house. We stayed for 5 nights in May. The accomodations were very comfortable and private. Matilde and Gustavo were wonderful hosts. We did mot see much of them but definitely felt we could contact them with any questions. We would definitely stay again.

Fabulous Rental
This rental is perfect for a New Orleans weekend getaway. My husband and I travel frequently to New Orleans to visit our daughter. We have stayed in many hotels as well as rental properties and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice this time! Matilde and Gustavo were so warm and welcoming throughout the entire weekend. The location is perfect for those who are visiting for the weekend or enjoying a longer stay. We were able to walk to neighboring Magazine Street for food and shopping. It is also within a few blocks of St. Charles if you want to take the streetcar either to the French Quarter or Uptown. We had a car for the weekend and parking was easily available on the street in front of their house. We would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to New Orleans!

The owners, an artist couple, have carefully thought out every detail to provide luxurious, comfortable living in this gracious garden home. Their 400 sq ft studio converted into a large elegant and comfortable suite for 2. Equipped with a queen-size mattress with luxury cotton linens, full bath with shower and all linens and toiletries supplied. A cook’s kitchen supplied with all basics and more, all new appliances and washer/dryer and large HD flat TV.
Nestled in a beautifully landscaped courtyard with fruit trees, scented trees, and flowers and sculptures by local metal artists. Have your morning coffee seated in one of the several sitting and leisure areas throughout, while enjoying this extraordinaire courtyard or lay in the hammock in the lazy afternoon, under the palm tree before heading back to the active city.
At the heart of New Orleans lies this gated home, a refuge nestled in the vibrant Lower Garden District. Located across from the magnificent Coliseum Square Park and intimately connected to everything... the mansions and gardens of the Lower and Garden District, the Arts and Warehouse District with all the museums, art galleries and finest restaurants, the adorned tree-lined boulevard of St. Charles and it's famous Streetcar.
Shopping at Magazine Streets, antique shops, art galleries, bespoke clothiers, artisan jewelers, potters, coffee shops and fine eateries is just blocks away. Second Line Studios is at walking distance. The French Quarter and shopping of Royal, Riverwalk and Canal Place, the Convention Center and the Port of New Orleans are within a mile, all walk-able.
