The owner Rick is fantastic! I have been bring my children to ski at Brundage every year for the past decade. We have stayed in the all of Rick's fantastic cabins but the Hawks Nest has so many memories for us. The view is fantastic from the desks. Rooms are large and enjoyable to stay in. I brought another generation with me this time. My grandson who is 5 was snowboarding the first trip up the chair. If you ask him the cabin is great fun. We even had a treasure hunt around the cabin. Games all night in front of the fire and guitar sessions like in the movies. My children love this place and I just cannot believe the hardships we have over come in life. One thing we will continue to do as a family is stay on this beautiful lake. The Hawks Nest is perfect for my large family. Last year only a few family members could make it and the cabin was just as wonderful! I love this place and have nothing but praise for the professional and very friendly landlord Rick. Year after year he has always accommodated our some times off the wall requests. Great guy, great place and best of all memories that you will never forget!

Best Location for A Big Family Reunion!
Our family of 20 adults and 22 kids rented all three homes for a week in July 2015. Rick was very personable and easy to deal with, answering our emailed questions promptly. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and spacious. Harris Cove Lodge's fully furnished kitchen meant our family was able to eat dinners together in big kitchen/living room/deck. The 2 fully furnished kitchens in the other houses were used every day for breakfast and lunch. People hung out on the beautiful dock, swam, paddle boarded, kayaked, and floated in rafts every day. Several people enjoyed nearby Ponderosa State Park, McCall's skateboard park, white water rafting, hiking, golfing, mountain biking, rock-hounding, and soaking in Bergdorf Hot Springs. The weather was perfect, and those of us from Minnesota appreciated the lack of mosquitoes. We rented Rick's pontoon boat for a day, a highlight of the week for adults and children. Our group would happily return to this property. The consensus was that out of 32 annual family reunions, this was the best ever!

The Hawk's Nest Lodge @ LAKESIDE Vacation Homes (is located on the peaceful east arm of beautiful Payette Lake. Guests have full use of the the lake front decks, marina, beach and restroom by the lake.

The Hawk's Nest Lodge was built in 1998. In 2012 we did an extensive update/remodel with new bathrooms (counters, floors, showers/tub & fixtures) , kitchen (floors, counters & fixtures), new kitchen appliances (stove w/self cleaning oven, refrigerator w/icemaker, dish washer, microwave & fixtures) and new entry floor.
We make sure that linens and towels are in great condition and replace them on a regular basis.
There is a balcony off of the Master Bedroom and the other King Bedroom.

The Payette National Forest sits adjacent to LAKESIDE Vacation Homes across Eastside Dr. and is ideal for jogging, hiking, mountain biking or exploring. Guests will probably find Huckleberrys to pick for their pancakes in mid July & early August.
If you stay during the colder months there is a large rock fireplace to keep you cozy and warm.

Full use of the marina, beach, lake decks and restroom by the lake. LAKESiDE Vacation Homes borders the Payette National Forest which gives guests the opportunity to go mountain biking, hiking and exploring literally right out the back door. Guests often have good luck fishing right off of the LAKESIDE dock.
There are 2 large boat slips for guest boats that come with the Hawk's Nest Lodge rental. There are 6 large boat slips for use by guests at LAKESIDE Vacation Homes.
We also have a 17 passenger LAKESIDE Pontoon Boat for rent by guests at a reduced rate.
We have parking for 5-6 vehicles at the house and there is overflow parking at the top of the LAKESIDE lane.
