My family has stayed at Rick's lodges nearly every spring for 13 years now. We love these cabins!! Rick has always been friendly to do business with, and the lodges are comfortable and clean, and close to town. We just stayed at the Frederick Lakeside Lodge, right on the water, and really enjoyed it. I had my one-year-old with me and never felt like the balcony or cabin was unsafe for little kids. The location is beautiful. Definitely recommend.

Best Family Reunion Ever!
Our family of 20 adults and 22 kids rented all three homes for a week in July 2015. Rick was very personable and good to deal with, answering our emailed questions promptly. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and spacious. Lakeside Lodge's fully furnished kitchen meant we were able to eat dinners together in big kitchen/living room/deck. The 2 fully furnished kitchens in the other houses were used every day for breakfast and lunch. People hung out on the beautiful dock, swam, paddle boarded, kayaked, and floated in rafts every day. Several people enjoyed Ponderosa State Park, McCall's skate board park, white water rafting, hiking, golfing, mountain biking, rock-hounding, and soaking in Bergdorf Hot Springs. The weather was perfect, and those of us from Minnesota appreciated the lack of mosquitoes. We rented Rick's pontoon boat for a day, a highlight of the week for adults and children. Our group would happily return to this property. The consensus was that out of 32 annual family reunions, this was the best ever!

Winter Wonderland
Our family of 7 adults spent a delightful week at the Lakeside Frederick lodge over Christmas; skiing, enjoying the quaint town of McCall, taking long walks in the forest, and most of all loving the serenity and high quality of our accommodations. The setting was a winter wonderland, and the views from the cabin were spectacular! The high ceilings and large windows made the cabin seem much larger than the pictures. The bedding and linens were luxurious and comfy. The internet, TV, fireplace, and heating worked perfectly. We were surprised how well the kitchen was stocked for being compact, and even had a roasting pan! Rick was great to work with, and answered our questions in a timely manner. If you stay in the wintertime, you definitely need a 4 wheel drive for the driveway. We were so thankful that Rick arranged snow plow service while we were there. We would love to go back again during the winter holidays, but think summer would be amazing too!

Fantastic house and location
We had a small retreat for our company and we were all blown away by how nice, clean, and beautiful the cabin was. Great landscape and environment. We will defintely be coming back.

The Frederick Lakeside Lodge has a large deck off the livingroom that has a panoramic view of Payette Lake (20' from the beach). There is a lake view balcony off of the Master Bedroom and 1 other King Bedroom.
Large Gas Grill (large w/2 tanks of propane) on the deck. The Gas Grill is on the deck year around.
Guests will enjoy long Summer and early Fall days and beautiful sunsets at the Frederick Lakeside Lodge.
If you stay during the colder months there is a large rock fireplace to keep you cozy and warm while you take in the view of the lake and mountains.
It is short walk to the dock, lake deck and beach from the Frederick Lakeside Ldoge. There are 6 large guest slips for guest boats at the 'private' LAKESIDE Vacation Homes marina.
