Lovely condo - So much to do!
The condo provides everything you might need. The condo is very clean and well organized. The furnishings are comfortable and tasteful. We were visiting to fish and explore the Upper Keys,. Our son was out on the jetty early each morning. He caught grunts, snapper, parrot fish, barracudas, and a bonnet head (think hammer head) shark. He only does catch and release, (though he certainly caught much that was legal to keep) but he has many great stories to tell. We particularly appreciated the state parks pass. We went to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park 3 times during our 1 week stay, to snorkel, and kayak. We also went to Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park and to Indian Key Historic State Park. We would have visited more parks, but there just wasn't enough time. Kudos to Andrew and Sally for providing such comfortable accommodations from which to launch an Upper Keys adventure.

Perfect Honeymoon
We stayed at Andrew's and Sally's lovely apartment for two weeks. The facilities at Kawama are superb and the location is great for exploring the Keys. Communications were great throughout. We hope to be back in the not too distant future and would recommend this property to anyone.

Amazing Vacation with Fantastic Hosts Sally & Andrew at Kawama Tower 406
I highly recommend you stay here. You could not ask for better hosts, nor a lovelier home. We drove directly to the property because of the clear directions provided by Andrew and Sally. When we arrived we found a beautiful, clean and well-equipped apartment - just as described, with everything we needed. We also received a phone call from Andrew welcoming us and making sure that we were comfortable and that everything was in place. It was as if we were staying in a friend's home. The apartment is lovely, I especially enjoyed Andrew's artwork displayed on the walls. There were 6 of us including our grandchildren (5 & 8) and we all enjoyed spending time at the pool, walking to the point for sunset and the salt water lagoon and the playground for the kids. We also had great fun fishing from shore at various spots, feeding giant fish at Robbie's, enjoying Bahia Honda State Park, walking around Key West and simply traveling through the beautiful keys. We ate most of our meals at home, but don't miss breakfast at Harriet's, a visit to Key Largo Chocolates and the Key Lime Pie Factory. Oh yes, I would highly recommend you vacation in this very spot! Andrew and Sally provide a lovely place to stay and lots of information about the area and "things to do" while you are there.

Lovely Stay, PERFECT in every way !
Andrew and Sally's condo at Kawama was even better than the photos! Such a well laid out, well appointed, bright, clean, and inviting space. We flew in from Texas, so we really appreciated all the little extras: towels, coolers, dish soap, beautiful dishes, hand soap. They had it ALL! The location is easy to get to and a great base for exploring the Keys. The pool area is lovely as well. And the lagoon was a real treat.

Great spot to explore the Keys
Thanks to Sally and Andrew! We loved to stay at your place. Key Largo is a great spot to explore the Keys and travel around. Easy and fast to get to from Miami and in good distance (< 2h driving) to Key West and Everglades national park. The Kawama resort is a beautiful vacation area with all amenities you can think of. The whole resort is very well maintained and the pool a great area to relax or play with your kids. Due to the limited access to the pool area, we were always alone and could enjoy a private pool feeling whenever we went there. The apartment is exactly as described. It offers all you need (and more). Starting with the first step inside, you can feel that someone is taking care of the apartment with love. Sally and Andrew were always available and more than supportive during our trip preparation and while we stayed at the resort. We can strongly recommend the stay for families with kids. The pool, the tennis courts and the play grounds close to the apartment complex give great opportunities to spend time between the trips to the different breathtaking locations on the keys.

Fabulous!! And affordable.
From the moment we walked in, we were beyond pleased with our choice to stay here. The place was absolutely immaculate. Layout was open and bright. My kids loved the second bedroom layout with separate door they could close off from the condo with a bathroom and TV. The pool area was great. And the people we met there were super friendly. Andrew was very involved in helping anyway he could and laid out instruction very easily. I highly recommend this condo. I have even told many friends they need to stay there if they ever get to the Keys. My Response Joellen, thanks to Dan and yourself for your lovely review and we were very Happy to hear we had played a small part in ensuring your family enjoyed a lovely Family Vacation. Fabulous, Affordable, and Absolutely Immaculate are the Standards we’re always looking for ourselves when we are travelling. Spacious and Clean
My husband and I came in for the NASCAR race last weekend. We decided to stay in Andrew and Sally's Condo in Key Largo because we wanted to explore the keys and not be to far from the racetrack. We are happy we stayed there. The Condo was very clean and we loved having the space. We visited some the beaches and State Parks in the keys on our cruise to Key West. Thank you for use of the park pass. We had a really good time.

Condo unit was terrific; very bright; comfortable; clean. We had understood that the beach area would be cleaned up/repaired during our stay, but it was not usable. My Response Linda, Holly, thanks to you and the Kids and for saying how you found our home TERRIFIC. It was Lovely to host your Family and of course we chatted a bit ahead of time and over your stay. It was a delight to work with you all and help you plan your Vacation. You were saying how you had so enjoyed the culture and all our wonderful State Parks and Beaches locally. A Huge Effort has been underway by everyone who owns and helps manage our little quadrant of Paradise, 90 per cent of the community grounds and facilities are up and running again after Irma. Sadly, the repairs to the waterfront amenities are delayed by permit requirements from local government that are backed up. We can only Apologise. Truly Very Sorry about this. You have to feel some sympathy for Monroe County’s own staff, many of whom have been displaced who lived in the immediate area worst affected by Irma. The Good News is that the waterfront will be repaired very SOON. New Sand has already been delivered ready. And when the last little bit is finished, It will be AWESOME.

Definitely Recommend!
We stayed at Andrew and Sally's condo over the President's Day holiday week. We really enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of their condo. It fit our family of 4 perfectly. The space is functional, and the association has plenty of amenities including several pools, tennis courts, walking paths and a jetty into the ocean. Andrew and Sally are warm, approachable owners, and they made everything a breeze. They provided plenty of information about Key Largo's local attractions and were available for any questions about the condo or area before and during our stay. If traveling to Key Largo, I highly recommend staying in their condo.

There is also the useful option of accommodating two more people on a pull-out double sofa bed in the lounge, sometimes useful for mixed family groups. Both bedrooms have full en-suite bathrooms with the master being luxuriously appointed with walk-in double shower and fine fixtures & fittings. Our Kawama Yacht Club home offers a spacious 1388 square feet / 135m2 of living space in an open plan format. We would add that the kitchen is well equipped with smaller appliances, mixers and hand tools so you really can cook if you wish to do so. You will also have access to our own private high-speed Wi-Fi service with good bandwidth. The living room has a Widescreen Plasma HD TV with some enhanced channels like movies available, a DVD and Stereo System with CD player and I-pod dock. There is also an integral utility room equipped with washing machine and dryer. The main dining and living area features contemporary designer furnishings of coral stone effect furniture and designer leather sofas. Patio doors open onto your private balcony with ocean view from an elevated 4th-floor aspect. We also enjoy a unique tropical 'tree-house' effect of adjacent breeze filled swaying palm trees. Close enough to Miami (1Hr) to be able to make a quick shopping trip or visit the city attractions, whilst also being close enough to other popular areas such as the Everglades and SW Gulf area for visits to these areas. Then not least at the gateway to the Keys, it's a great base location for exploring and visiting the entire Florida Keys chain of islands. For Families visiting Mickey or the Gulf and Atlantic Coast resorts, we're an ideal contrast and complimentary location for your split itinerary. National Geographic says The Florida Keys with their elevated aerial highways are undoubtedly one of the great scenic drives in the World. It’s also a place of immense natural diversity and beauty and through the network of State and National Parks and the many recreational opportunities available to the visitor along the Keys and the local region, you will find the natural world is very accessible. Every water sport or activity on, above or below the sea is popular. Excellent fishing is available as well as boat trips to suit all pockets. We have received guests from all backgrounds over time. Kawama Yacht Club welcomes Everyone who shares the ethics of enjoying their vacation with a common sense outlook towards our community neighbors. Families, Couples, and Friends traveling together to achieve synergy cost savings, Snowbirds, Mixed Generational groups, we are suitable for everyone. The format of the property and sleeping makes it very flexible. With compartmentalization in the apartment and all facilities, often a much better alternative to two Hotel Rooms. Need more than one apartment - again ask us. We are networked with several co-owners and will try to help you. (you can't do that on the big Box Sites !) If someone in your Group has a mobility difficulty - talk with us. We have helped lots of families with different challenges over time. We also have bespoke contacts with adapted boats, special assisted taxies and other bespoke transport contacts we are happy to share. Please discuss this with us and we will try to assist you. We have much experience of assisting families attending therapeutic ‘swimming with the Dolphins’. The property has several positive access features. What we always advise is that the accommodation isn't specifically designed for wheelchair access, but is relatively user-friendly for most younger people with mobility issues. There's elevator access to the Kawama Tower, 2 lifts, one each side. The parking area is ramped up to the elevators, whilst the apartment is all on one level. The front doors to each apartment are wide and the units benefit from being 'open plan' in the main living area. Negative is that the internal doorways are not wide enough for wheelchairs, and the bathroom is not equipped with heavy-duty support rails and other ancillary adaptations. Our home is therefore really only suitable for younger people of small size receiving comprehensive guardian assistance and support and who do not require to move a wheelchair through every part of the property for access. Or adults who have some level of mobility, albeit they maybe do not do stairs with ease anymore.
