The fully equipped and spacious (1,000 sq, ft,) 1br/1ba floor plan will very comfortably accommodate 2 people, and a roll-away bed is available to accommodate a third guest.
A wonderful, fully furnished, trellised patio, with wood burning fireplace, large gas grill, and views of the surrounding gardens, provides additional space and is perfect for quiet reflection, outdoor dining, and stargazing.
Surrounded by trees, flowers, and greenery everywhere, the property attracts a wide variety of birds and butterflies, creating a heightened sense of peace and sanctuary in this space.
The cottage is located in a quiet West Sedona neighborhood and is within walking distance to Natural Grocers, Whole Foods, restaurants, movie theatres, boutique shops, two great thrift shops, a bike rental shop, Starbucks, and more. Other services, major shopping hubs, scores of art galleries, jeep-tour pick-up points, and many hiking trail heads are just a few minutes away by car.
For birders and nature lovers this is an exceptionally good location - less than 10 minutes to Red Rock State Park and only 15 minutes to two Important Bird Areas that attract over 120 bird species. Of course, with all the trees that surround the cottage, you can do loads of bird watching from the comfort of the livingroom and patio.
If you plan to do some mountain biking on this trip, the top mountain biking center in the area is just a short walk from the cottage. Mountain bikes, street bikes and related equipment are available to rent, and the staff will help you with tips on best biking locations, and more. A work station is set up in the backyard, where you can wash your bike after daily rides and do repairs.
For those with metaphysical interests, the property sits at the base a major Sedona vortex. Many people report experiences of heightened intuitive abilities and deep spiritual insights while spending time at the property. The cottage was at one time a metaphysical training center and library, where thousands of metaphysical, New Age, and self-development books were available. Some of the books are still available at the cottage and you'll have loads of fun browsing the collection.
In addition to all of the above, the cottage is just one block from Whole Foods, and walking distance to two other natural food stores and many restaurants.
