This gorgeous 5 bedroom, 3 bath home boasts 7,200 sq. ft. under roof with 5,200 livable, accommodating 10-15 guests in modern comfort. Walk out the front door and stroll to Fashion Square Mall, the many restaurants at the Phoenician Resort or--just right around the corner-- begin your hike up Camelback Mountain.

Enter off the circular drive into the great room featuring a baby-grand, player piano and panoramic windows highlighting the true majesty of the secluded backyard with its 36,000 gallon, 8 ft. deep, swimming pool. An expansive, recently renovated, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar awaits your dining pleasure.

Normally, this would be another gorgeous vacation rental property on a meticulously gardened acre but this home has something truly special to offer. Down the hallway past the kitchen you'll enter the Theater Room replete with fully functioning, vintage pinball and other unique games from the 1950's +60's. You'll also find a coin operated jukebox, theater popcorn, peanut and hot dog machines with lounge seating for eight from a once beloved, Phoenix theater. This setup also boasts a 120-inch movie projection screen featuring cable TV with sports channels, HBO, Netflix and Wii play settings offering challenging bowling, tennis and a host of other competitive games.

Outside, next to the pool, you'll find a roaring gas fire pit, barbecue station alongside a walk-up, gas-fired bar for evening cocktails. The fully grassed backyard is surrounded by giant, mature trees including ripened citrus. In the backyard to the WEST you'll find a resort-style, curtained gazebo. Around the corner, there is a fully equipped anaerobic exercise facility together with a lighted, Ping-Pong court and basketball court. To the EAST, you'll notice a children's playhouse nestled into the rear fence. A 2k linear foot, fenced dog run lies behind the playhouse and walled, backyard.

Back inside, off Master Bedroom #1, the master bath has been newly remodeled featuring a glass-enclosed, "wet room" with multiple shower heads. A cozy patio set in a tropical garden environment awaits beyond the Master bedroom's sliding glass door.

Lock the door to Master bedroom #2 and enjoy complete privacy from the main house together with your own entry off the eastside driveway. This room features a Queen bed, wet bar, internet connection, an historian's 400 book library and monstrous, "Beehive-designed" gas fireplace with surrounding seating.

In addition to the big-screen in the Theater Room, there are 7 flat screen TV's throughout the home.

Laundry is deservedly in its own room.

Forget to pack your toothbrush? No problem. There is ample toiletries and amenities in each bathroom ranging from the everyday basics to the most discriminating in good taste. Fresh cut flowers are set in two vases, weekly.

Need a massage while here? The very best deep tissue masseur in town is Barry La Mond. Note your request for a massage therapist upon booking. One hour: $75

We are a family friendly home and have a designated sitter if required, to help during your stay.

Should you desire the pool to be heated, this can be accommodated for an additional $500.00 fee plus daily use charge based upon the season(circa $55). Advance notice is required. It takes 48-72 hrs to heat the pool to 75 degrees depending upon prevailing weather conditions. Upon cancellation, there is NO refund for pool heating service.

Everything was as advertised!

We stayed at this property from 5/27-6/3-17. There were 10 of us. Age ranges from 1 1/2 years old to 65, with teens in the mix too. Plenty to do on the property with ping pong, pool table, huge swimming pool and the awesome 1950's game room with jukebox, pinball machines and other games. The coolest thing was everyone of those old games worked! As the listing says, "luxury retreat at the base of Camelback Mountain", that is no exaggeration. Literally in the backyard is the famous Phoenician Resort, they have 3- 9hole courses and the rates were very reasonable. Fashion Square is literally about a mile away, very walk-able as many of us did. Ken and his daughter Kelly were great to work with making sure all of our needs were met. We will recommend this property! Thank you !

Perfect girls weekend getaway

Ken's house is amazingly beautiful - I went with a group of girlfriends and had a perfect weekend laying by the pool and having dinner prepared for at the house (ask for Chef Christine if you want to celebrate a special occasion). Ken was incredibly responsive both leading up to and during our stay and made everything about planning the weekend easy. We definitely want to come back!

Home Away from Home!

In an attempt to escape the endless Seattle rain, we stayed in this lovely Scottsdale home for 4 weeks. The home's owner, Ken, and his team (gardeners, pool guys, house cleaners, CHEF, property manager) made sure that we felt at home and were comfortable from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. For example, Ken has a REAL movie theatre popcorn machine. My wife mentioned that she loves movie theatre popcorn. FOR THE ENTIRETY OF OUR STAY, Ken mad sure that we had FRESH movie theatre popcorn at all times (you'll have to ask him if this service is provided to all guests). The house was excellent. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms - which allowed us to have friends and family come and go over the month - and for everyone to have their own "space" while visiting. If you like to play pool - check. If you like to swim in a beautiful pool - CHECK. If you like to sit in a hot tub after swimming in a beautiful pool - CHECK. If you like to sit in the sun, in the shade, or next to a fire pit near a beautiful pool - check. If after spending the day in the pool you like to cook in a fully stocked kitchen, play pinball, play ping-pong, listen to great music on a jukebox, or just watch TV - check to all of these items. In summary, this house has something for everyone - and is a comfortable home in which you feel like you can truly relax and have fun. Lastly, we really enjoyed the location. Old Town Scottsdale is right down the road - a 5 minute drive. We walked to Spring Training games. We found several restaurants - SumoMaya, Blanco's, Olive and Ivy, Montauk - that we loved - all within a 5-10 minute drive. And, while everyone else is fighting for parking so they can walk up Camelback Mountain, we walked out the side gate and headed for the Mountain - which is right down the street. I definitely recommend this house. It is a home - not a museum. Adding Ken and his team to the mix - just made it better and ultimately made it feel like a special trip for me, my wife, and our friends and family.

Excellent accomodations for larger groups!

The property easily accomodated our group of 11 who were down visiting for the Waste Management Golf Tournament. This house has something for everyone. The backyard was beautiful. We utilized the pool and hot tub daily, made fresh juice from the fruit trees and spent many hours playing the outdoor games. Ken and Kelli were very gracious offering assistance for anything needed during the stay. If you're looking for entertainment, you don't need to stray far. Old town is within a $5 ride for restaurants and bars. Would definitely rent again next time we're back.
