A Truly Magical and Charming Desert Hide Away!
WOW, so many wonderful things to say about this absolutely charming and comfy casita and the serene and quiet desert setting that my husband and I were privileged to be a part of! We came here for our 15th wedding anniversary and Mina was such a caring, friendly and wonderful host and was always just a call away if we needed her. Such a warm and welcome feeling being at this casita, tucked away into its own little corner of the desert! This location had a very laid back, comfortable and casual atmosphere to it that was perfect for us. The casita was adorable, with everything we needed...a perfect cottage for a couple! We have such fond memories of quietly watching the desert cottontail bunnies and Harris squirrels scampering around the horse corral area every morning and evening from our front patio, as well as watching the birds perching on the Saguaro cactuses and the families of quail and their babies running back and forth. Such a fantastic place for those who love animals like we do! This is a very quiet, peaceful and serene hideaway that feels SO remote, but is only a few minutes away by car to the local amenities in Cave Creek, Carefree and Scottsdale. Just the perfect place for us and we miss it so much already! We cannot wait to come back! Thank you so very much Mina, for a perfect desert vacation and for sharing your wonderful casita! This will definitely be our future home away from home!

What a Great Find
We had to change our plans with the fires in Sedona in May this year and found this wonderfully appointed casita. Everything was spotlessly clean and really so comfortable with terrific bed and sink-into big chairs. Mina was charming and so easy to work with. She is a very interesting and talented lady who has done all the upholstery work of the chairs and ottomans herself. The casita is very tastefully furnished, with great walk-in closet and an enormous amount of coat hangers and space for everything. Large laundry room is off the living room and there is a very efficient galley kitchen. The tall ceilings and plenty of natural light give it a very spacious feel. Spending time outside on the patio gave us a sighting of a very large javalina doing the rounds by the horse coral. We just loved the wonderful light in both the mornings and evenings. The saguaro cactus were just beginning to bloom and we always enjoy the bright, feathery greens of the palo verde trees. The Sonoran Desert is a very magical place and we just keep coming back to Cave Creek and the surrounding area. Thanks Mina, we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

What a place
We spent a month at this casita in Cave Creek and loved the location as well as the owner. She was available for any concerns or issues, and went out of her way to help us numerous times. Our dog got into a cholla cactus and had over a hundred stickers...and Mina helped us get him home and spent over an hour pulling out stickers with us. She is a delightful person, and the property is beautifully located in a box canyon. The casita is very clean with high ceilings and is decorated well. Everything is there that one could need or want, including a brand new washing machine and dryer. We enjoyed the quiet, and had wildlife sightings of coyotes, javalenas and numerous birds. Loved it. I even started horseback riding again, and went 3 times with a local person. Highly recommended from two academic professionals.

Perfect Getaway and tons of Charm
My fiancé and I had the privilege of staying here for one week before our house became available. It is absolutely perfect!! You get the feeling of being out in the country yet have the luxury of all the nice and updated amenities. We had wifi, laundry and dish tv. The closet, kitchen and bathroom were recently updated and they were done very well! The queen bed was VERY comfortable and Mina did everything in her power to make us feel comfortable during our stay. I was pretty sad when we had to say goodbye as it truly was everything we were looking for. Quiet, serene landscape but close enough to the frontier town of cave creek to have a fun afternoon/evening. Our dog Bentley also enjoyed his stay and I can't wait until friends and family want to come visit so I can recommend them staying at this cottage. We miss it already and hope to go back for a visit soon.
