Perfect for us!
My husband and I, Mother in law and brother in law stayed for a week. We enjoyed how peaceful it was away from the tourist traps. We shopped when we wanted, but then retreated to the quiet of the resort. Had everything we needed. Kitchen over stocked with useful tools for cooking and eating in, which we did a lot. Balcony great for afternoon. Shaded except for morning to noon. Beautiful place to view the sunrises. A short walk to the beach, unit was pretty far from the elevator, but we got used to the walk down the hall. Overall a great location!! We would love to stay again! Maybe next year? Thanks for a great place to vacation!

Beautiful ocean/beachfront view!
We stayed in unit 5507 located in the plantation dunes building the week of July 17, for 6 nights/7 days. Our overall experience was great, the owner of this unit, Marty King, was great to work with and was very helpful. He made sure from start to finish our experience was a positive one, which it was. We are a family of 5 and it suited us perfectly for a week's stay. The unit has a great view of the ocean/beach, and was very clean when we arrived. There is also a lot of beach accessories provided by the owner such as beach chairs, floaties, toys, etc located on the balcony to take with you while on the beach. While the unit does need a few minor cosmetic repairs and updating, the overall condo was clean, quaint, colorful, and welcoming. All the beds were very comfortable, even the sleeper sofa according to our oldest daughter, who's 16. The kitchen was also fully stocked with all the cooking neccissities you need. The only negative thing we noticed as far as the kitchen was concerned was the oven. It literally took the oven about 45 mins to heat up to 375 degrees. So if you want to use the oven for any reason, be prepared to wait a while before using. Not sure what was wrong with it. Our condo was quiet for the most part, the only time we noticed any noise from any other units around us was our last full day there the unit above us was fairly noisy. It sounded like they were running & jumping a lot, day & evening time. But otherwise noise was not an issue. On a side note, I left my favorite pillow from home at the condo when packing up & leaving, but did not notice it missing until we were 12 hours away. I called Marty and let him know the situation, he then contacted his cleaning lady who had found my pillow and had it shipped back to me, within a week! And at no charge to me! As small as that may seem to some, it meant a lot to me that Marty was willing to go above & beyond to help me out and get my favorite pillow back to me! With all that being said, we will most likely return to this unit again & stay the next time we book our vacation back in Gulf Shores! Highly recommend!

A great time again!
We had a great time in this condo. Marty is great and responds quickly to questions. The condo is nice with a view of the beach. We had to move the bar stools aside to have enough room in the living room, but it was very comfortable and that was an easy solution. We will be back again!

Recently Remodeled! Gulf Shores Plantation is a gated (24 hour security), family friendly resort that is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico with thousands of feet of beach frontage. This resort is beautifully landscaped and offers many amenities. Come enjoy all of the 6 outdoor pools. I SPOKE WITH THE CONTRACTOR AND WAS TOLD THE NEW INDOOR POOL WILL BE UP AND RUNNING DURING THE SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER, 2015. There are also tennis, basketball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, exercise room, putting green, outdoor charcoal grills and picnic tables. On site there is also a casual eatery that offers Starbucks coffee, food, spirits and for added enjoyment, walk next door the the nationally ranked Kiva Dunes golf course for a round of golf.

Our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom, non-smoking condo is newly updated and decorated. The unit has a beautiful gulf view that can be enjoyed on the balcony where you can also hear the sounds of the waves.
The kitchen is equipped with all new major appliances, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and blender. The stove has a ceramic glass cook top. There are also 3 bar stools that pull up to the kitchen island. The dining table accommodates 6 people.
Enjoy the new 40' flat screen TV in the living room along with a Blu-ray player.
The master bedroom offers a queen size Tempur-Pedic bed with a new comforter. The guest bedroom has 2 twin size beds with new comforters. Both bathrooms have tub/shower combinations. The master bedroom has its own private bath and 19' flat screen TV with Blu-ray player. There is a Lazy-Boy sleeper sofa in the living room if you need additional room for guests. The living room also has a very comfortable Lazy-Boy recliner.
There is free WiFi located throughout the resort. A fun game room is also located on site. A laundry facility is located in the building. Our building has an elevator and there are butlers carts available to help bring your luggage to and from your car.
For all you men who are tired of taking the trash OUT, rest easy. There is a trash chute a few feet from the elevator lobby. Walk to the end of the hall, open the chute door, throw the trash in and walk back to the unit down the air conditioned hall.
