Great family fun!
Great family fun! We decided to stay here to break up our week in Seattle with a few days on the lake. This was absolutely highlight of our trip! Our group was made up of 7 people: 4 adults and 3 children ages 11, 10 and 6. This kids loved swimming in the lake and also enjoyed the games provided at night. The house was clean and more than equipped to handle a group of our size.

Everything was as described.
We all had a great time. We love Lake Cavanaugh and was happy to find this vacation rental for our Mom's birthday weekend. We had a few questions prior and Brenda responded quickly and was very helpful in helping us plan our stay. Everything was as described. The Foosball table was a big hit with our son. All enjoyed the views from the deck and sitting out on the dock. Only drawback was construction still going on next door, which started around 8 am on Sunday morning. However, we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Our get-a-way cabin on Lake Cavanaugh is surrounded by the beautiful PNW mountains. You’ll love our place because of the views, the location, the people, the retreat feeling, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
You'll have the entire cabin to yourselves! We've always called this 24 year old house on Lake Cavanaugh our "cabin", but it's really a home. It's heated by a wood burning stove upstairs and wall heaters down in the bedrooms. We'll provide you with an entrance code for the door after booking confirmation.
We can be reached by cell phone from the cabin's land line (or your Verizon Cell phone) at any time. Feel free to try us if you have questions.
Lake Cavanaugh is a wonderful community of home/cabin owners who enjoy walking, boating, fishing, getting together, biking etc. Many people live on the lake and others use their homes as a second home or retreat like we do. You will love the peace and tranquility of this serene and majestic setting.
The closest place to fill up with Gasoline for your vehicle or boat is Arlington, about 30 minutes away. You can go up the other way from Oso as well. If you have Verizon cell service, you will have great coverage up at the lake, but unfortunately for some (we love it) AT&T doesn't have great service up in that area. There is a land line in the cabin and that's all you will need in case of emergency. We enjoy the time "disconnected". But you can sign-in to the wifi to get online from your mobile devices or laptops as well.
There is wood available on-site. Extra wood may be purchased for $5 a bundle. We provide a bundle per stay that is included. That's enough for hours of heat. There is also a wall- heater on the main level, as well as downstairs in the bedrooms and bathroom.
