Perfect for a quiet, relaxing, and calm family
Beautiful house, great location, and extremely easy access to the beach. The beach was quiet, clean, and family oriented. The water was beautiful with a long shallow section for the swimming and playing in the waves. The second floor bedrooms and third floor living area were perfect for this family of four and dog. I woke up every morning to watch the sunrise from the rooftop deck, which has a great view of the ocean and horizon. Home-owner (Carol) was informative and responsive throughout the rental process, and provided a house that was easy to live in for the week. Overall, very pleased with this experience!

What a great vacation!
We absolutely loved our stay at Shep's quarters! Carol was great, the house was wonderful, and what an incredible location. My wife and I had four teenagers with us and had plenty of room. The beach was a VERY short walk away in a great neighborhood. I would highly recommend staying here and we hope to do so again in the future. If you are looking for a great spot, this is it!

Shep's Quarters is an outstanding home!
We had a wonderful experience at Shep's Quarters. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The views from the fourth floor deck were marvelous. The owner greeted us warmly and walked us through the house. She even left extra beach toys for the children to enjoy. We highly recommend this excellent home to anyone visiting Virginia Beach.

This house was amazing way more than what I expected. Carol the owner was the best. She was super nice. If your going to Virginia beach this is were you want to bring your family. Hands down 5 stars from me thank you carol!!!

This owner is a liar who took my $1000 sec deposit. Think twice before booking with her. House was not clean upon arrival. She will blame you. She will take your deposit because she can get away with it. Not reputable!

Aging home, unhelpful host
Home certainly shows much better in pictures than in reality. Kitchen was dirty, shower door was broken and never repaired during our stay.

Fully furnished, weekly or seasonal rental newly available in prestigious Croatan in Virginia Beach. Gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean! Wet bar on 4th floor deck. Five bedrooms, three and 1/2 baths. Full kitchen. Open living area on 3rd floor, with views of the ocean from all windows. Two outside showers (one enclosed) to rinse off after the sand and salt water. Just steps to the beach, this beauty is close enough to smell the salt air and hear the waves lapping at the shore. Close to Rudee Inlet for boating and fishing.
We have bicycles, a wagon, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, beach toys, etc.

About The Area
Croatan is an upscale beach community in Virginia Beach, VA. It is a family oriented area, with uncrowded beaches, quiet streets, and lots of people on bicycles. Croatan is about one mile from the main boardwalk, just across Rudee Inlet.
