Great Girls' Trip House!
We rented Steve's house for our annual Girls' Trip, and we had the best time! Close enough to go hang out at the oceanfront, spent time walking/jogging in First Landing State Park, and spent time on Chick's Beach walking and enjoying the water. Down time at the house was relaxing with the hot tub, steam room, and just a ton of room to spread out and watch movies in the living room. The house was completely ready for us and perfectly clean and welcoming. Steve was just a call away anytime we had a question! Both bay and oceanfront and State Park are all within 10-15 minutes, and restaurants/bars for going out less than $10 Uber away!

A fun and unique getaway on the bay
My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Absalom. My wife and our 5 children had plenty of room to spread out and had a fun time exploring this unique house (beds and bathrooms all over the place!). The quiet neighborhood was a welcome change from the big city. With that said, groceries were only a mile away and great dining another mile beyond that. Also, the freshest seafood you could ask for can be had right off the dock. The raw oysters were amazing (they will shuck them for an extra $1 if you ask at the market) and you can get all the blue crab you are willing to crack. The property was in great shape and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, including paper products. The pool was beautiful and clean and the exterior well-cared for. Inside were the latest appliances and electronics for you to play with to your heart's content. If you want to swim in the ocean, you will have to drive to it, as the bay is not very swimmer friendly. There's a state park 10 minutes down the road with beautiful public beach on the Chesapeake, otherwise it's a 1/2 hour to Virginia beach to hit the big surf of the Atlantic.....or you could just stay home and use the pool and the roomy Jacuzzi. Steve was a great host and in constant communication, making sure our stay was everything he promised it would be. Would definitely come back again next time we are in Virginia. Thanks!

A must see and stay
We have never been to Virginia Beach and found Steve's home by chance. We were looking for somewhere that accommodated pets as well as spacious enough for a family of four. Wow......the home is immaculate and offers anything and everything you can think of. The pictures on line doesn't do the home justice. The kitchen is first class with all the amenities needed and we cooked every day but one. The weather cooperated gorgeously except one rainy day but Steve thought of that too with his home theater set up giving me the chance to "binge" "Game of Thrones". The pool and hot tub were used every day without fail when not relaxing on the deck enjoying the beautiful view of the bay. When I reserved your home, I was assured it was pet friendly and it certainly was. Our two small furry loved ones had plenty of space in the home to roam as well as in the yard. Both enjoyed watching us fish for crab daily on the dock anticipating each catch. Thank you, my pets are family and am grateful you open your home to them also. Steve, you have thought of everything one can wish for to ensure time spent is inviting, pleasant, and comfortable. You were so very helpful from the beginning when I reserved the week, and when questions arose while staying at your home. We can tell you care about your guests and their needs during stays by the way your home is kept and cared for. I hope to return next year and will be recommending 2012 Absalom Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia to family and friends. Thank you so very much.

Absolutely Beautiful
This home is amazing inside and out! The kitchen is top notch with any and all amenities you would need except for the food to cook a gourmet meal. The view from the deck over the water is breathtaking. The beds were very comfortable. The steam shower is an absolute must, as well as the hot tub. A lot of love and care went into this home and I am thankful to Steve who let us share! I will come back again.
