Great home on the river.

The house, and the grounds were perfect. Close to Shenandoah national Park, Luray Caverns, and Massanutten Water Park. Or, you could stay at the house and fish, canoe, and kayak. The kids loved going in the evening. The house was well-equipped, very well-maintained, and very clean. It was perfect vacation.

Beautiful Property

An Exquisite River Paradise is a beautiful property. The before and after pictures of the home are very impressive. The owners have done a wonderful job restoring and decorating the home. I was a little worried when I drove back to the property and passed a community boat launch, but once you were at the property you felt like no one else was around. While staying at the property we were able to kayak, fish, enjoy the hot tub, and quiet mornings on the beautiful deck reading. The area is also very close to Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive. Overall our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

True to their Name!

The Exquisite River Paradise is exactly as advertised: a lovely 3 bedroom home on the banks of a still river, at the end of a private road; the only house, in fact! The home has a spacious kitchen, well-appointed dining room, and three large bedrooms (2 with queen beds, 1 with 2 twin beds), each with TV/Cable and DVD. Rustic hardwood floors throughout. The outside featured a deck, a fire pit, a hot tub, and 2 canoes and 2 kayaks. The owners provided all the amenities we needed, including ample towels, bedding, and kitchen necessities (even skewers for roasting marshmallows!). We also made use of the laundry. The views from the home (and the area in general) were amazing, and several mornings, we watched cows from a neighboring farm across the river bathe on the banks. The house is tucked away, but within driving distance to Luray Caverns, Massanutten Water Park, countless vineyards, great food, etc. Our favorite restaurant was The Black Forest, but the nearby Hanks BBQ was also a winner! Although a pizza place, a McDonalds, and a gas station are within 5 minutes, most other places require a 10 - 20 minute drive. There were only two cons to our stay in Paradise (to be fair): 1) there were a LOT of bugs, though the 4 of us made it out with only a handful of mosquito bites (bring protection); 2) the main road is a hazardous, curvy, 2-lane job which the state decided to make an unfortunate 55mph. If you try to do less, the locals will tailgate you the entire 8 miles. Other than that, we had a restful yet exciting trip full of activities and down time. Paradise is highly recommended!
