The house is comfortably updated inside and quite lovely. This was important since we did have a couple rainy days. We had 4 teenagers and a tween with us so having both a kayak and canoe already provided was a real boon. We also rented a pontoon for several days (really liked the folks at Parkway Marina) and were able to easily tie it to the dock and still have plenty of room on the other side for swimming. It is inside a cove so you'll have to boat out for vistas--we didn't mind. We used the grill once without a problem and the kitchen is indeed well stocked--including plastic containers for leftovers! The master bedroom mattress wasn't great, but that's not unusual for a rental--the boys were very happy with the bunks. This was our first visit to SML and I would definitely rent this house again. Thanks for a lovely vacation!

Perfect!!!
Cottage was well appointed with up to date appliances and well stocked good quality cookware. The porch and the dock were both nice places to sit and watch the kids play in the water. It was shaded in evening so that made it tolerable even on the hottest days. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms (esp the Master Bath) were really nice. Quiet cove with no wake and little traffic so it was nice for kayaks, paddleboards, floats etc. (We even caught a few fish.) I would definitely come back here !!

Our cottage is furnished to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The media package is highlighted by a 60 inch flat screen HD TV, DVR, stereo and satellite WIFI internet (please note that internet downloading is limited by the satellite technology).
The ranch-style cottage features a great room with a living room, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances (the oven is not full-size) and a gorgeous view of the lake. Sliding glass doors from the kitchen exit onto a deck with lake views, table and chairs, and a gas grill. The living room has a gas stove.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, 55 inch TV, walk-in closet, and private master bath with a large ceramic tile shower. The second bedroom also has a queen bed, tv, with a large closet and full bath in the hall. The third bedroom has two sets of bunks and a large closet. The cottage is equipped with a full size washer and dryer.
A large screened porch on the lake side of the house gives 180 degrees of lake view.
There are two docks, one for boats and fishing and a floater for swimming and canoe/kayak launching. We supply a canoe, paddles, and life jackets (please use at your own risk). Please avoid dragging the canoe over the rocks but rather launch it from the dock, so that the bottom is not damaged. There is a fire pit/ring (we do not supply wood, but bundles can be purchased at the near-by White House Market).
Swimming off our lake-front is ideal, with clear no-wake water and minimal interference from waves, making it fun for younger children and adults.
