Amazing place
If we could give Donna and her place 10 stars we would. Aside from helping us out when we were stuck without a place to stay due to a booking error with a different host(we accidentally booked one day too few first time using airbnb, and they were already booked up for the next day), this place was even more breathtaking than the previous host's place which was already amazing. We were greeted in person by Donna's sister and her family, who came out to meet us and help us find our way after we took a wrong turn on the way there. They were all wonderfully friendly and showed us around the place explaining things like the self-lighting fireplace which we'd never used before being from Florida. The place is perfect. Really comfy beds, couches and chairs. Everything is new and immaculately decorated and kept with a consistent style. Multiple WiFi hotspots around the house, a smart TV upstairs, a futuristic smart thermostat. The back porch has a swing bench to relax while taking in the endless grassy hills and forests stretching out in the distance. From what I can tell every inch of Meadows of Dan is beautiful so anywhere you go will be extremely pretty to look at. There's a guidebook to explain the simple house rules, as well as manuals for the fireplace, coffeemaker, etc, and information about local attractions and restaurants. They gave us multiple ways to reach Donna and her sister, and she was always quick to answer my questions and polite despite the fact that I was in her cozy cabin and she happened to be in Florida at the time dealing with the aftermath of Irma without power. I could go on and on. To sum it up, just book this place now. The host, the cabin, and the location are top notch. This will be the first place I check for availability when I get a chance to visit Meadows of Dan again.

Perfect Place In The Mountains For A Relaxing Weekend
Cabin is well stocked with everything you could need. A home a from home. Great view of the country side from the deck of the cabin. Donna has provided a book about the cabin and everything in the surrounding area. She has gone a step beyond in providing for everyone's needs. Whether you just want to sit by the fire with a glass of wine, watch movies on one of the two TV's, or enjoy a meal at a local restaurant, its all there for you to enjoy. We will be going back soon.

Don't miss this beautiful getaway that is pet and child friendly. Enjoy the beautiful scenery. The Bear Ridge Cabin sleeps 6 and is a perfect getaway for your family or a romantic time away. Enjoy the comforts of home but away from home. Everything is provided, except food and beverage. Enjoy quiet time by the fireplace or out on the porch enjoying hte scenery. Disconnect from technology and relax. This cabin has year round appeal for leave chaning season, golfers, couples retreats, or just hanging out with friends. For those that must stay connected their is secured wifi and cable TV. Motorcycles are welcome.
About The Area
Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, near the Dan River, with beautiful unobstructed views. Short distance from the historic Mabry Mill and Chateau Morrisette winery, along the Crooked Road Music Trail, close by antique stores in Meadows of Dan and Floyd, close to Fairy Stones State Park and The Primland Resort and Olde Mill Golf Course.
