We had a great time at OPOV; has the most splendid view among 3 houses we rented since 2014. We loved the hot tub and did I say, we loved the view? The paddle boat, though, needed a bolt so we were not able to enjoy it but the paddle board was excellent; size was great! We would love to rent it again BUT the price went up a lot so we are renting a different house next year. Thank you, Premier Vacation Rentals at SML. You guys are great!

Beautiful Home with Breathtaking Views
Perfectly appointed home with a view to match. We were able to relax with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed the grounds, dock, and watching osprey on Rock Island right off the dock. Home is tidy with large, well decorated rooms. TVs in every room, but we never used them because we were too busy enjoying the lake! Hands down the best part is the "classic" Smith Mountain Lake view. We have already booked our return for next summer. Magnificent home!Thank you for staying ! This is a very special home. We do welcome you back next year and look forward to offering you expanded activities which you can book with us, from kayaks to power boats and golf

Renters Beware!
In January 2020 we made and paid in full for a reservation in April 2020. We reached out the management company a few weeks before our reservation date to see how they were handling Covid-related items since both their state and our state had mandatory travel restrictions. The management company told us that the property owner was not willing to entertain a refund (they said he was only 1 of 2 property owners NOT giving refunds so draw your own conclusions about the owners). We looked to rebook in June but they wanted 100% + more than our original contract amount for those dates so we declined (despite no updated or new contract the management company still tried to charge our card for $3,000+). They told us, in writing, that the owner would let us apply our balance to a Fall/Winter rebooking. In September, when we went to rebook, they then said that we would have to pay for a new reservation. It is challenging to think that the homeowners only care about money in the midst of a Pandemic and aren't doing the right thing. On the flip side, Premier Vacation Rentals of Smith Mountain Lake, the rental management company, is a circus of a business. Their communication is rudimentary at best and they cannot seem to keep track of their own correspondence (saying nothing of trying to charge my card without authorization). The property looks beautiful, and we paid for it. It is a shame that we weren't able to enjoy anything we paid for because of the behavior of the owner and management company. It's all about the type of people you want to do business with.
