Not so little cabin in the woods!

Skip the usual tourist spots and head for this idyllic home located conveniently half way between Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. It is located off the main highway in a quiet and scenic setting. The house has everything you want for your stay. It is immaculately clean and well appointed with a full kitchen, T.V., Wifi, and laundry. There are games to play and lots of hot water for showering. It's perfect for several couples or family with children. The owners live close and checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. It's one of those places you won't want to leave. An added bonus for any urban dwellers is the spectacular night skies. The dark skies of southern Utah are uniquely perfect for seeing zillions of stars you never knew were out there.

Great stay at Lydia's Lodge

Our family recently stayed at Lydia's Lodge while visiting Zion. The house was very private and quiet, about 1.5 miles down a secluded drive. it was very nicely decorated, and gave us more than enough space for our family of five (one BR on main level, two BR plus bunk beds downstairs). Our kids enjoyed having the horses right outside our bedroom window. Mercy and Hal were very responsive and accommodating. The house is about 25 minutes from the east entrance of Zion, and there is another 30 minute drive to the visitor center where you pick up the shuttle for Zion Canyon. The drive coming in from the east side is very beautiful (includes Checkerboard Mesa) and underrated. There are very limited grocery and dining options between the park and the house, so plan accordingly. Overall a great stay!

Beautiful home!

We had a fantastic time at Hal and Mercy's lodge! The home was a perfect base to enjoy Zion and Bryce Canyon. We hiked all day in the parks and then were able to relax in this peaceful lodge. Everything was clean and cozy. We had 4 young teens/tweens with us who loved the air hockey table.

Private, Clean, Large, Comfortable..

When looking for a place for our family to stay in southern Ut, I came across this cabin and was impressed with the reviews. I rely heavily on reviews, so I want to leave an honest one for others like myself. The cabin was just as described. It felt like coming to my Grandma's cabin or home for the weekend. Very homey, prepped perfectly for our stay. The cabin was very, very clean, and I am a picky person. There was everything needed for our stay. I cooked 9 full meals for 8 people in the kitchen and had everything I needed. We cooked on the grill every night. The beds were all clean and comfy. Plenty of space, it rained one morning and we watched videos and played on the air hockey table. We set up our volleyball/badminton net in the large yard area, my kids liked exploring the property, and playing night games while we roasted marshmallows on the fire pit. Plenty of dry firewood for that. Only complaint was a rather noisy generator or something on another property, but it could only be heard when you were outside and at that end of the yard, not in the rooms or anything. Easy to find. We went to Bryce Canyon one day, and to Red Hollow slot canyon another day. We've already been to Zion's, or we would have made a trip there as well. Beautiful canyon. Loved how private it was, would be even more beautiful in the summer when the trees are leafed out. Mercy obviously takes a lot of time and attention to prepping and cleaning the cabin. There was even a delicate/shoe bag to do laundry in. There was shampoo and toothpaste in case we forgot ours. Everyone showered every night and we had hot water. Everyone slept well. Was planning on 10 people but we only had 7, so there was ample space. We would have had plenty of space for 10-12 people on beds, and more space if you wanted to sleep on couches or the floor. Everyone enjoyed it. I would recommend it to my own mom, and that is saying something. :) Thanks so much for an great place to stay!

Amazing

My wife and I stayed here for our Honeymoon. It is a very pleasant place. Close to a lot of things. Please let me know if anyone knows how to book again! I cannot get in touch with the owners. No websites seem to be working for the lodge.
