Shush....keep my secret. Perfect lake hideaway .

Just loved the entire experience. Sandy (Jack) is a true southern gentleman who maintains his faith in humanity. Super laid back, low key . No stress or fuss. The house was perfect for our needs. The neighbors were wonderful and welcoming. Can't wait for our next visit.

Wonderful stay in TN

Thank you, Sandy. We had a lovely time at your cute little cottage. Such a nice place for me and my husband to stay. The property and the lake were a terrific get away for us.

Great Lake cottage for our brief stay

We were only there for three nights, but it is a lovely little cottage with a great location. We didn't come across Sandy, but the house was nice and clean and ready for our arrival and it was clear if we did need anything from Sandy he could be over quickly. Friendly neighbors who were having fun with their family. Very close to Hermitage, and we also made a trip to downtown to check out the Vanderbilt campus and to try Hattie B's (both worth the trip). Favorite part was sitting on the dock in the evenings with the family catching fish (perch, catfish, and a white bass). Really relaxing place to get away from it all.

Great house & location!

This home was perfect for our little weekend getaway. Four of us stayed here with our two small dogs and we were very comfortable. The porch, backyard, and lake are amazing! We enjoyed spending our nights relaxing outside and enjoying the peacefulness. The home is about a 30-35 minutes to downtown Nashville, which was great for us. The owner was very nice and great to work with.

Songbird Lake

What a beautiful sanctuary... very peacefully. The birds are amazing. Watching the ducks waddle around each morning was super. The house is perfect in every way. Thank-you, Suzanne Mathis

Peaceful lake getaway

The cottage is the prefect size for a couple or small family looking for a peaceful getaway. My husband and I used this time to enjoy one last vacation before the birth of our last child coming up in June,(babymoon). It was the best of both worlds, lakefront home located about 20/30mins from Music City! We both enjoyed being able to come back to a quiet area after sight seeing in Nashville. We did a day trip to local waterfalls, this did require a bit of travel- about 2hours but completely worth it! Sandy was amazing, allowing us to check in early and also visiting to make sure everything was okay with the cottage. If my husband and I ever decide to visit Nashville again, we would stay at the cottage again in a heartbeat! The view is amazing, quiet neighborhood, and wonderful owner to deal with.

Spectacular Sunsets & Relaxing Times

We stayed at this Cottage over the Christmas Holidays due to its close proximity to family. Could not be more pleased with the location, the tranquility, the amenities, the spectacular views and privacy. Sandy was very accommodating -- he even thoughtfully provided a small lighted Christmas tree. We were blessed with unseasonable warm weather and were able to enjoy the beautiful back porch. Already planning a return trip in the summer to enjoy the Lake! Thanks so much.

Great getaway Cottage on the lake!

We rented this Cottage because it had its own boat slip big enough for our boat. It was a great trip and perfect place for us to stay. Beautiful back yard which overlooked and lead down to the lake. Was also located in the "2 foot cove" which was nice. The back porch was my favorite with the Rocking Chairs! Owner was very accommodating and quick responding to any questions. Would highly recommend and we will be back. Thanks!

The Perfect Haven on the Lake

This home is one of our favorite places we have ever stayed. We are gone from home over 300 nights per year and have stayed all over the U.S. For us to find a home that provided privacy, comfort and gorgeous lake-front views was a true blessing. The home is cozy and was a perfect haven for my husband and I to relax. We stayed in the winter (Nov./Dec.) and when the weather was nice and even on cold, sunny days, we spent a lot of time on the porch, in the yard and hanging out on the dock. The roads in the area are great for walking. It is a very safe, peaceful area. I cannot imagine a more perfect location to stay on Old Hickory Lake during the summer months. Everything you could possibly need is 15-30 minutes away; Opry Mills and The Hermitage are just a bit further. Sandy was the perfect host; conscientious about attending to our every need, and always quick to respond to any communication. We will definitely return!

Great way to start our new life in the Nashville

We stayed in Sandy's cottage for several weeks while our new home, 3 miles way, was being remodeled. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect place to begin our new life as residents of the Nashville area. As others have mentioned, the cottage is clean, comfortable and very relaxing. We were able to dock our boat at the slip out back for the length of our stay and enjoy the lake on a daily basis. My husband caught some very nice bass while fishing off the dock. We enjoyed many nights cooking on the grill and afternoons reading on the screened in porch, while getting to know the sights and sounds of Nashville. The cottage was a peaceful sanctuary at the end of long days at the "construction zone". Sandy is close by if you need him, but totally respects his guests privacy. I would highly recommend the cottage to anyone....I can't wait to have overflow friends and family stay there while in town for visits. Thank you Sandy for working with us on our time frame and for more than accommodating our needs while staying in your lovely cottage. Julie & Chuck S. FYI: A few recommendations nearby: Nashville Jam (shrimp & grits), Simply Thai on Old Hickory Blvd. Sam's Sports Bar at the marina, Roll Wrap & Stix Mt. and Juliet Market on both on Lebanon Road.

Great place to relax!!

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Sandy's cottage on the lake while visiting Nashville for our first time. So glad I found this place. It is just what you see in the pictures and better. Very clean ( I am a bit of a freak about this) felt very comfortable here. We spent most of our time in Nashville it was nice to come back to "our home" on the lake to relax! Enjoyed beginning my day and ending my day sitting on the screened room facing the lake. Nice quiet neighborhood! So much better than a hotel and for the same price! We would come back here for sure! Sandy was so great to work with! And the drive into Nashville not bad at all!

Vacation on the lake

What a wonderful cottage on Old Hickory Lake. From the moment we arrived, it was inviting. The hummingbirds were a joy to watch as were the cardinals and various other birds. The cottage was clean, the property well maintained, and well equipped with all the amenities. Sandy was thoughtful and available to offer us information on the area and things to do. The description of the cottage was accurate and it was the perfect size for my husband and I. The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee, reading, and meals. Nashville was a short drive and the train going into the city was close by...very convenient if you want to see the city on Friday and not worry about parking or driving back. It's about a fifteen minute drive through the countryside to several stores and restaurants. But if you're there to relax, this cottage is the place...it's quiet and all the neighbors are friendly. The lake offers miles of shoreline to explore by canoe or kayak, and the sunsets are a show every night. It's the place to make memories. Bring your camera! I highly recommend this property.

Great Family Getaway

My wife and I traveled down from Chicago with our 3 year old daughter. Home was very clean, well maintained, comfortable beds and GREAT view of the lake! We had a couple days of rain, on and off, but Nashville was just a short drive away and did some touring down there. Sandy was great and everything we talked about prior to stay, was just that! Great Stay!

Quiet retreat

Cozy quiet retreat for a couple. Beautiful views of lake. If you are a bird watcher perfect spot with lots of birds. Cottage is charming, clean & comfortable.

Nice place on the lake

This is a great little place. Beautiful view of the lake and not a long trip into Nashville.

Great Getaway

My husband and I with our daughter and son-in-law visited Nashville to go to a concert and were able to stay in this cozy cottage for a few days. It was great to be able to travel into the city and see the sites but also to relax on the enclosed porch - listen to nature and just chill. My daughter and son-in-law fought over who would sleep where on the trendle bed. Just quaint enough! Definitely recommend it!

Perfect location

Sandy's cottage made for the perfect weekend getaway. Being a little ways outside the city and situated right on the lake, it was very pleasant just to relax at the cottage. However, it was close enough to the city (about a half hour drive) to enjoy some of the Nashville attractions. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well-furnished.

Great Lake Cottage

Couldn't ask for a better place to relax & unwind from city life, yet very convenient to all that Nashville has to offer. Well cared for cottage is stocked with everything you need (and forgot to bring like my hair dryer & beach towels). Sandy is a super host and makes sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. If you plan to rent a boat or jet ski, make reservation well in advance at one of the local boat docks. We waited too long & everything was booked when we arrived.

Comfort, hospitality and convenience!!

Wonderful cabin!! Unfortunately, we were only staying for two nights during CMA Fest. Wish we could have had a week vacation here!! This cabin was a breath of fresh air from the crowds and provided some much needed R&R!! Excellent amenities!! Conveniently located to Downtown Nashville, we has no problem driving there and back. We will stay here again!

Peaceful lake retreat to say the least!

We simply loved our stay and the Dolly house was just perfect for us! My son and husband had a blast fishing! It was just close enough to downtown Nashville to go enjoy it daily if wanted but just far enough away to be a nice relaxing setting. Absolutely recommend this house!!

Wonderful retreat!

We had a great time in this adorable cottage. Awesome location, great views, and nice and quiet. We were on the go a lot, so coming back to this sweet cottage in the evening to relax and wind down from the day's activities was the perfect end and beginning to every day of our vacation. Will suggest this to anyone looking for a beautiful setting outside the city. Sandy was fantastic and spent a lot of time making sure we were taken care of and had all we needed for a great stay. Hope to visit again, we made great family memories.

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend at the Dolly House. The owner, Sandy, was wonderful to work with. It's an intimate setting just right for our family weekend, away from all the lights and noise if the city.

Quaint home, beautiful location, excellent owner

The lake house is located on a quiet street about 25 minutes from everything we wanted to do. It was well worth the drive. The house was clean, well equipped and located right on the lake. The view was incredible. Sandy, the owner, went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and made sure that we had everything we needed. The house enhanced our trip exponentially. I highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful lakeside cottage!

We stayed at the lakeside cottage for five nights. It is a beautiful place with a wonderful screen porch. We came for the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. It was only a short drive to downtown Nashville. Our host Sandy was extremely gracious and welcoming. The place is clean and comfortable. Plenty of pots, dishes, silverware and towels were provided. We also went to Monell's to eat in Germantown for a fabulous meal. This cottage was the perfect place for my family and our small dog. We loved it!

Fabulous!

Everything about our stay was paradise. From the view to the cottage and the owner. Everything was clean and in good working order and very much up to date. Better than my home!! The fish were biting and the weather was perfect. Very convenient to the city and all shopping but very much a get away too. We rented a boat and felt like we had gone to heaven! We will certainly be back. Thanks Sandy!

Amazing

We stayed here for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I can't wait to go back! You never know if the pictures online are going to match, and they did! The place was so up to date, cozy, and perfectly clean and comfortable. It was right on a lake with a beautiful yard, screened in back porch, back deck--the works. I really could not have asked for something so well supplied and gorgeous. The owner made sure we were comfortable, always happy to help if need be. The location to everything around was perfect. This really is EXACTLY where I will come next time!

Great place

We had such a great time here and can't wait to go back. It's a really nice cottage with excellent lake access and a huge yard. We stumbled across this place last minute when we evacuated for Hurricane Isaac--the owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be going back.

Excellent - Wonderful cabin

So much more than we ever hoped for! Coming from L.A. - we new nothing about the area but we wanted a small cabin for fishing. This was perfect. The cabin was newly remodeled and absolutely beautiful. The screened in porch is what sold me - with comfortable chairs, fishing poles an a shelf to put things on. I loved that there was a dock right on the property. We had a perfect stay! 5 stars! Thank you Sandy for everything!

A little piece of heaven

Vacationed with my daughter and her friend. We had a wonderful time. The cabin is sparkling clean and cute. From the minute we walked in we felt at home. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and the living area was adorable. Can't wait to return this fall. Very nice screened porch and a small deck with chairs that look out onto the lake. A great place for boating and fishing. There were plenty of poles on the porch but I'll be sure to return with my own pole and tackle next visit. Close encough to downtown Nashville to spend the evening and take in the culture. Lots of local shopping, food and STARBUCKS too. We have planned to make this our own little get away for months to come. Bring a couple change of clothes, good book, a pole and a little cash to spend and you're set. Love it!!!!!
