The resort itself is showing its age but this unit with its recent renovation is a top accommodation. we spent most of our time on the beach which was just steps away from the elevator. loved the no check-in process and the wrist band provided in advance for the pool. (we got there a little early so it helped to have the wrist band to stay in the pool although i'm not sure if they were really checking) the pool across the street is off-limits but they let us in anyway since it was not crowded. (trust me. you are not missing much) didn't really use any of the other amenities since we mostly dined out. the hotel is close to market commons (Gordon Biersch has its own micro brewery) and the coastal grand mall. (we enjoyed sticky fingers, abuelo's and longhorn steakhouse) also a short drive to broadway at the beach. make sure you have vinegar included in your first aid. i don't know how often it happens but i got stung by a jellyfish the last day of our stay and it was the most discomforting pain i have ever experienced. the lifeguard will spray you with some vinegar water solution but it wasn't enough.

A Week in the Sun
My friends and I stayed at Descansito for a week in June and it was phenomenal! We were hoping for an inexpensive solution close to the beach, and this was a steal, the best deal we found in Myrtle Beach. The resort is right on the beach and it takes about a minute to walk to the ocean. We were blown away by the number of pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers the resort has to offer. We really enjoyed these later at night when it was dangerous to swim in the ocean. The condo itself had everything we could ask for, as twenty-somethings looking for some fun. We really enjoyed cooking and eating our meals, and often liked to play the board games Robin and George provided after dinner. The tvs and beds were wonderful on the day we decided to stay in out of the sun for the day, very comfortable! I was pleasantly surprised to find the living room with the murphy bed had a locking door, it made a wonderful second bedroom, away from the kitchen and bathroom. We didn't rent a car, and though this made things a tad more complicated, the walk to the grocery store was very manageable at about ten minutes. We also found some great restaurants at a little further of a walk, but who cares when the walk is in the sand next to the ocean! On a side note, we also really loved the in-resort restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was really refreshing. All of the people at the resort were really helpful with our questions. We would definitely recommend Descansito! Our vacation was fabulous!

Great time
We stayed in this wonderful condo in June with our 6 year old granddaughter,the condo is clean and well kept.We appericated having 2 TV's and CD players as we could watch what we liked and our grandaughter could watch her dvd's. My husband loved the palm tree on the murphry bed and our granddaughter loved the bed she "helped" put it up every morning.I enjoyed my coffee on the balcony in the mornings with the waves coming in as back ground.The resort was great we enjoyed the pools.This is a wonderful place to stay with young ones.we had plenty of space and the grocery store was with in walking distance.Robin and George were very easy to deal with.We will come again.

My husband and I LOVE The Landmark and we come back every year. Your place is one of the nicest and most comfortable we have stayed in! I was so pleasantly surprised when I first walked in. Since we were vacationing in February, those spa robes you provided were a wonderful surprise and great to wear to the pool. Thanks so much Robin and George. We had a wonderful time! We hope we will be able to book Descansito again next year.

The condo is best suited for a couple, family with small children, small golfing party, or girl's getaway. We have provided all of the comforts of home (free WiFi, flat screen TVs, full kitchen, dvd player and library, games, books, radio). You will also enjoy spectacular ocean, sunset & city views, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, lazy rivers and 5 minute access to the airport, golf, restaurants, shopping, and most all amenities Myrtle Beach has to offer. And let's not forget ...it is just steps away from the beautiful sandy beaches of the Atlantic!
Take time for a little break. You will be glad you did!
