Covid-19 news: The Town of Kiawah has passed an ordinance regarding face coverings.
For businesses, clubs and associations except restaurants: All persons, including employees, must wear a face covering at all times, including when entering or while waiting to enter. For restaurants, indoor and outdoor: all employees who directly interact with the public must wear a face covering; and all persons entering a restaurant, waiting to enter or to be seated, or waiting for take-out, are required to wear a mask at all times except while seated for dining or beverage service. Refusal to comply with these requirements will result in a $25 fine to an individual and $100 to a business. The ordinance does not mandate the wearing of face coverings in open public areas such as parks, pedestrian paths, boardwalks, or the beach. It is recommended the use of face coverings where six-foot social distancing is challenging to maintain. Our management company cleans the cottage to the specifics and guidelines recommended by MUSC.
This cottage is in the family-friendly Oceanwood Cottages community. With its proximity to the beach and Night Heron Park, it is one of the best locations on Kiawah. Fiddler's Reach is the last street off the cul-de-sac on Eugenia, and is approximately a 3-4 minute walk to the beach. A bike trail at the northeast end of Fiddler's Reach leads directly to Night Heron Park (a 7-8 minute walk or 3 minute bike ride - much quicker than driving!).
Our guests enjoy the exclusive benefits offered by Kiawah Resort and are included in the rental rate. These RESORT PRIVILEGES provide our guests with complimentary access to the West Beach fitness center and the three Resort swimming pools (West Beach, Tennis Club and Night Heron pools, including the Night Heron water park); discounts on golf, tennis, and recreation and nature programs; complimentary shuttle service to Resort locations, and 24 hour check-in.
Our beach cottage is completely furnished with an open floorplan. The cottage had a complete renovation in 2018: porcelain "wood-look" tile in all rooms except bedrooms; updated and open kitchen with new cabinetry and counters; updated bathrooms, including a walk-in shower in master bathroom; and lighting fixtures replaced. The dining and living rooms are one large area flowing into a cozy sunroom. The cottage can accommodate up to six people: a comfortable king bed in the master bedroom with an attached bathroom; a guest room with two twin beds; and a sleeper sofa in the living room with a queen size mattress.
The cottage is rated "premier" on the Resort's rental program. The Resort provides all bed and bath linens, a starter supply of laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, paper products and bath toiletries. Upon checking in at the pools, guests are provided with towels. You will need to bring your own towels for the beach.
Both the living room and master bedroom have flat screen TVs and we provide secure WiFi throughout the cottage. A small collection of books and board games is available for rainy days or quiet time. We also have beach chairs and toys in the storage chest located on the sundeck.
The dining room provides access to a large private sundeck - a quiet place to relax with family and friends. A charcoal grill is in the back just off the deck - you will need to bring your own charcoal. For our guests' convenience, there is an outdoor shower off the sundeck to remove excess sand and lotion. The parking pad can accommodate two cars.
Bookings of 3 nights or less incur the cleaning fee in addition to the quoted rates.
Our cottage is a smoke-free, pet-free home to accommodate guests with allergies. Thank you for respecting this policy!
