SOUTH of EVERYTHING!

Located just steps from South Street and local attractions, the apt & location are ideal for visiting Philly! We found the apt to be as pictured....beautiful and clean. My only concern for someone would be the stairs. If someone is unable to climb steps they may find coming and going, along with getting to the top floor of the apt difficult. I've had one knee replaced and at the time of this post had another scheduled in a few days and I was able to come and go without a problem (though going down the steps backwards was easlier!). My wife loved the tub and the walk in shower is very nice! The apt is on a busy street, so it can get noisy at times. I suggest you just turn the fans on high, or bring ear plugs. It wasn't that bad though.. Kate was very helpful during our stay! Regarding parking....we scored free parking during our whole stay. I suggest you park along the sidewalk on the far side of Bainbridge St. There is a sign that says something about street cleaning on the 1st/3rd Tuesday of each month, but locals assured us to ignore it. We did and everything was fine! If you have to you can pay ($20) for one night in the parking lot off of Bainbridge St (if you stand at the market on the corner and look left you should see a lot across the street on the far side) so you can move it early the next morning to free parking. Make sure you park along the sidewalk though. If you plan to drive daily this may not work for you. We parked the car and took Uber when needed during our stay. Overall, we walked everywhere. Independence Hall & other sites similar are a short 15-20 min walk. We even walked to and from Reading Terimal Market/Center City. The sites and sounds of the city distracted from the walk its self making it shorter than what it really was. RE: South Street....you name it you can probably find it...food especially! I suggest you walk down South Street (turn right at the corner) towards Penn's Landing and Spruce Harbor Park (15 min). Google Spruce Harbor Park if you haven't heard of it to see what attractions are there. Kids & adults will enjoy it! If you are going to a ball game you will need to Uber/Lyft or drive. Uber cost us under $15 for 3 people. Also, there is a small market next door on the corner, or you can walk a few blocks to an ACME grocery store. A Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts are just around the corner from the apt, too. Overall, if you want to truly feel the pulse of Philly then you must stay here!

Amazing Stay!

From the opening letter t0 the checkout was a breeze and set a fabulous tone for the trip. Kate organized everything perfectly for our arrival! And best of all we met Anna as well upon arrival and instantly knew we had picked the right place to stay. Eclectic and well appointed house in a great fun neighborhood. Already planning a return trip! Bed was comfortable and tub and shower make an added plus! This is a huge house with tons of open space you don't find often in a city like philly.

Fun neighborhood with lots of local options

Fantastic stay! Friendly and easy check in. Very clean and cozy with some really funky decor we all enjoyed (the recycled parts guy brought many debates of who/what it was and the magnetic dart board was a great pastime for the kids in the morning). Easy walk to great food/coffee and many shops to browse. Next time we are coming back for tattoos!

Fantastic!

Very clean, fun decor, and a submersive experience for your stay in Philly. This is a little bit more of a progressive neighborhood, so expect a bit more noise. Pack your earplugs and you will be fine! Thanks Kate for the hospitality. I'd come back.
