Fun family vacation on a beautiful lakefront

We had a great stay over the 4th of July holiday, the house was perfect for our group of Grandparents, parents, and young kids/toddlers. There was plenty of room and it was very comfortable. It was not super up to date or fancy, but everything was functional and it served our purposes well. There was a ton of space for hanging out or letting the kids play and the fire pit outside was great for roasting marshmallows! We would definitely recommend it to others staying here as the owners were great to work with, and the golfing, pool, and other resort amenities were an added bonus. The dock was big and it was a perfect lake for swimming, canoeing, and paddleboating. It was a fun vacation and I'd definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.

Amazing Lakehouse weekend getaway!

We rented this lakehouse with a group of friends and our dog. We had an amazing time. The house was very nice, and the resort is incredible- lots to offer. The downstairs area with the tv, pool table, foosball and bar is where we stayed for a majority of the time, if we were not outside on the lake using all of the boats that were available for us to use! We also went to Chimney Rock which is a lot of fun. We have already discussed coming back here next time during the summer. Scott was very friendly and prompt with anything we needed as well. Overall, an excellent stay, and now we wished we would have stayed longer!

2012 vacation

My husband and I brought our 11 year old and 17 month old grandsons to this beautiful home. We were even able to bring our 2 1/2 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. The pictures do not give this home justice. There is so much space in this home. My husband and oldest grandson fished everyday from the dock or from the many boats provided with this house. The dog did alot of dock diving which wore him out. We took the boys to the pool everyday which wore the 17 month old out and every night playing pool or foosball with grandpa wore the 11 year old out. The prime rib buffet at the resort restaurant was to die for and the 4th of July fireworks over the lake were the best we have ever seen. Working with Scott was great and we will be returning to this beautiful home in the future. Thanks Scott.

Perfect relaxing place for families

Our family of 5 as well as my brother's family of 6 decided to spend our first vacation together. We could not have been more thrilled. With 7 kids, we loved the downstairs game room and bunk room. The lake was so peaceful and we enjoyed spending time in the lake on the kayaks, canoes and tubes. The cabin was very well equipped, we just had to bring groceries! We didn't want to leave and are looking forward to next summer!

Great Summer Get-Away

Our family (two parents and two teenagers) spent 4 days at Lakeside Lookout in June and had a wonderful time. The home was beautiful with more than enough room for our family -- 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The highlight of our visit was the proximity to Bald Mountain Lake, just steps away from the house. Motorized boats are not allowed on the lake, and that meant that the lake was truly a peaceful place to be. During our visit, we saw many families of ducks and geese paddling by the dock. Two kayaks were available, which we used each day while there. The kitchen had everything we needed for eating in. We also tried some local restaurants, including Larkin's on the Lake (great food and worth going for the view alone) and Medina's in town (also great food -- try the cinnamon rolls if you go). Although there were only four of us, there was plenty of room for more than one family at the house. The basement had a pool table and large TV area -- allowing us to keep everyone happy even on the day that it rained. The house also came with passes for Rumbling Bald Resort amenities (pool, beach, etc.). In our short stay, we didn't use the passes, but if we had stayed longer, they would have been a nice perk. All in all, a fabulous place for our family to vacation -- and our teenagers said, "Best vacation ever!". Now that's a big deal! :-)

Last minute New Year's Eve celebration at the lake was just what the doctor ordered. The house is well appointed and sits right on the lake. We caught three bass and really enjoyed the presence of a bar area for our extended family celebration. Scott worked with us on our last minute reservation and was very accommodating . We definitely plan to bring the kids back for a week this summer
