Home Description

Centrally Located To Everything The Area Offers Throughout Every Season.

Quaint mountain cabin w/a stream running thru the property. Minutes from incredible hiking & waterfalls. Historic downtown Hendersonville is a short 15 minute drive. Asheville airport is 25 minutes. Famous Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Bat Cave, Smokey & Blue Ridge mountains are all within an hour drive. Enjoy the fun of summer, the beautiful changing of the leaves, or a mild winter getaway.

Cabin 1: Sleeps 9 with beds we have available. A/C. Wood burning fireplace. One bath, & full kitchen. Sits right on little hungry creek & has a wonderful back patio deck that overlooks the stream & the mountain.

The property is simple but very clean. Pest control comes every month. There is no wi-fi, cable, or phone. Cell service is weak but available depending on your carrier. The property truly is in a perfect location for anything you may want to experience in the Carolinas. There is adventure (hiking, white water rafting, mountain biking), & incredible site seeing all within an hour or less. There are also multiple summer camps for kids in the area if mom/dad want to stay close for their own getaway. If you just want to slow down & recover, staying on the property is one of the most tranquil experiences ever. Quiet, majestic, easy to rest & relax. Great environment for snuggling up with a good book, or maybe even writing one of your own! There are 2 vineyards, & golf (Including night golf) within 5 miles of the property.

Do not wander on the fenced property across on the other side of the stream. This is all private land & there is no trespassing. Signs are typically shown. There are some great trails/waterfalls within minutes of cabin. Simply walk down the creek until you pass a gazebo on the right. Continue a very short distance until the cleared property ends & woods begin on your left & look for a pole that signifies a trail marker. Continue walking the same direction (down stream) but on the groomed path on the left side of the creek until you reach a sign that says upper falls. Follow that sign by turning right until you get back to creek & you'll soon be at the top of the falls. There is a path from there that goes down to the bottom of the falls as well. Very private & a beautiful spot for a picnic, a swim, or just some pictures. Newly paved driveway w/a basketball goal for the whole family to enjoy. Small contained fire pit for roasting marshmallows outside.

This area is the perfect location for just about any expectations a weekend in the mountains may pose. We have visited over and over for the past 30 years & always enjoy our time & always find something new that the area offers.
