Minimum StayOutside Condition of House Unacceptable
Our family rented MS 18 Eventide from Brindley Beach Rentals the week of August 22-29. The outside condition of the home was completely unacceptable. It was was infested with spiders and looked to not have had a good cleaning in years. There were broken chairs and moldy boards and other trash laying around. In addition the inside of the home has an ant problem that we could not leave any food on the counters without fear it would be ruined. Our family which included a 3 year old and several adults were unable to use the decks due to the condition they were in. We called the first day and asked for assistance with cleaning the exterior of the home as well as cutting back the vegetation on the dock which was also less then desirable. We were told the cleaning crew would be back to wash the outside and they never came. We did purchased raid to try to clear the decks of spiders but without even a broom at the property to thoroughly clean the piles of egg sacks and dead spiders away it was pointless. Our family made the decision to not stay until Sunday and cut our stay short. We are very disappointed and will never consider renting through Brindley again. We have been vacationing on the outer banks for 20 + years and have never had a home with conditions like this through other rental agencies.
