Home Description

Looking to get away to the mountains with your family? Timber Hollow is the perfect choice for large families, or groups, traveling together!

Our custom log cabin sits on a private 65 acre buffalo ranch. Enjoy viewing our buffalo when you drive in or stop by in the morning at feeding time! This cabin is nestled in the woods & has plenty of space for families traveling together.
So, whether you are looking to hit the slopes at Cataloochee Ski Resort in Maggie Valley (only 12 miles away) or visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville (only 30 minutes), there is plenty for everyone to do in The Great Smoky Mountains!

Timber Hollow is ideal for large families vacationing together because we have 2 master suites as well as a 2nd kitchen downstairs! You can store extra food in the downstairs fridge!

Also, rest assured the children will be well entertained downstairs in the game room where we have a pool table & ping pong. There is a foosball table in the loft. Also enjoy an evening in our 6-8 person hot tub out back!

Children will love the hike through the woods to the play area, The BC Corral! This custom designed area has everything from swings, zip line, slides, teeter totter, cargo nets, rock wall & even a horse shoe pit for the adults! The kids will love it here!

If you are looking for a quiet 'get away from it all' retreat, this is it! Enjoy long hikes on the property, fishing on the Pigeon River (within walking distance from the log cabin) or take a trip into town to do some shopping or antiquing.

We are pet friendly, size doesn't matter!

Cabin is tastefully decorated during the holidays as well!

We hope many wonderful memories will be made while vacationing at Timber Hollow!

Great place for families with children

The house roomy and comfortable with plenty of entertainment possibilities on site. The setting was beautiful and private. Our grandchildren enjoyed the animals, especially the goats. We also took advantage of some water recreational activities in the area. Overall a wonderful vacation

Family Fun Vacation

Grandmother, bother, wife, husband, son and his girlfriend all gathered at this beautiful cabin with all the amenities needed for an active fun vacation. We enjoyed our surroundings with amazing views and visited the bison, goats, lamas, and rabbits. We held tournaments playing foosball, pool, and ping pong without leaving this lovely cabin. However we did leave having access to excellent food and adventures like seeing elk in the Pisgah National Forest searching out waterfalls, trout fishing, and a little hiking. We look forward to our next family vacation at our newly discovered mountain getaway!

Perfect family retreat

We loved our mini vacation at Timber Hollow. We were looking for somewhere for our large family to stay while we explored nearby Ashville, but the majority of our time was spent on the property! Everyone enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, ping-pong, foozball, and the Buffalo and other animals so much, that we stayed in much more than we normally do on vacation. The kitchen was well appointed, the property managers were helpful, and the views were beautiful! We picked up some ground Buffalo at the outpost, which made delicious burgers. Fire pit and grill were other added amenities.

Beautiful getaway with the comforts of home

Our family truly enjoyed our stay ,a beautiful home with many adventures around the corner. My 8 year old enjoyed seeing the animals as well as the firewood provided for Smores at night. The adults enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Even small details were taken into account such as a croc pot in the kitchen supplies for easy meal while your exploring during the day. We will definitely be back.

Bison, Llamas, & Goats oh my!

I would like to say "THANK YOU", for creating a space that my teenage kids actually enjoyed going to & didn't ask for the wifi password when we arrived! They actually DIDNOT go through withdrawals from not being on their x-box! The cabin was easy to find upon arrival & the directions that Cheryl sent for check in were perfect! Our 1st morning there we arrived in time to see the bison feeding..wow, such majestic animals! It was so cool that all we had to do was walk down the driveway! The cabin was really clean & comfy! Had everything in the kitchen that we needed to save money & cook in. The one thing that was awesome, my family LOVES French toast & I do not like cooking that in a frying pan, but I forgot my griddle, & they had one! These owners have thought of absolutely everything! The kids loved making a fire outside & hiking to the playground. Thanks again, we really enjoyed our family time at this cabin & plan on coming back this summer to explore the area more & going hiking to all the great water falls!
