Cozy, Romantic Carriage House
This carriage house is diagonally across from the beautiful greens of Chesire Village. The home was exceptionally clean and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. We loved the deck facing the green. We just wished the hedges were trimmed lower for a better view of the green. I would highly recommend this carriage house. My only suggestion to the property management company-I found they were very remiss in returning phone calls. When you reached a live agent-they were very attentive and helpful, however twice we left messages and never received a return phone call. That's the only improvement I would recommend. Everything else was outstanding!

This home was lovely. Everything was there that we needed.
First time renting a vacation home. Beautiful area!! It was in a perfect location. We brought a few items to get started for our long weekend. (coffee and snacks).The house was warm and decorated beautifully. We left a nice tip for the housekeeper as the house was very clean. We'll rent this house again on our next trip to Blk Mnt.

Enjoyed our Visit
Rental Company was very professional and easy to work with. They communicated well throughout the entire process. Can't say enough good things about Greybeard Rentals. The home was very nice. In a beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of coffee shop, store and a few restaurants.

Great Christmas Get-away
We were delighted with this house! Cheshire Village is delightful, just a quick ride into town - very convenient, but if you go in the winter, beware that the roads are steep in this development and it may be hard to navigate them. The house is extremely well-furnished. Could use a few more kitchen toos/utensils - no measuring spoons? - but otherwise, perfect. When the wind blows, you can certainly hear it howl, especially in the master bedroom. And the bedroom with the double bed is a murphy bed. If you're OK with all that, you will really enjoy this house.

Beautiful and comfortable home
This home was wonderful for our family. There is green space right across the street, which was perfect for the kids to run off some energy. The kitchen was well appointed. The home is in very nice condition and the furnishings were very comfortable. We enjoyed the private patio and porch. We also used the fireplace several times. The location is wonderful. We walked for coffee and for dinner one evening.

A great Thanksgiving holiday
Our family and friends gathered in Black Mountain for Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The property was fabulous and very well appointed. Looking forward to a return visit in the future.

Escape to Black Mountain NC
This property is ideally located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. It is close to the interstate with easy access, near all amenities and Black Mountain's neat downtown. It is an attractive property with a spectacular mountain view. For us it provided an excellent base for hiking, exploring the area and shopping in Asheville and there are plenty of excellent places to eat right in Black Mountain.

Lovely home in Black Mountain
We had a wonderful time visiting Black Mountain and the Asheville area. Conveniently located to everything. Well furnished home and kitchen. Third bedroom is a murphy bed, which I had not noticed when I booked. It worked out fine.

Chesire Carriage House in Black Mountain
This property was well maintained and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the balconies (upper and lower as well as the front porch. The place was spotless and very roomy.The staff at Graybeard went out of their way to make certain our stay was everything we anticipated and Renda was especially wonderful to work with and really treated us well. I will be more than happy to recommend Graybeard and the Cheshire Carriage House to anyone.

Cheshire Carriage House autumn 2014
The Cheshire Carriage House is one part of a multi tenant property, but when you're in the house there is plenty of room and privacy--note that there is parking space for one car only. Everything advertised is there: a one-car parking space in a garage, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, half bath by the washer and dryer, gas fireplace, gas grille, screened porch, and a master suite with jacuzzi tub and king bed all on the first level. The upstairs has a full bath, two bedrooms (one room has a queen and the other a double Murphy bed) and a common area with a couch and tv. The property is exceptionally clean and the rental agency is efficient for checking in and out. We did not contact the rental agency during the stay so I cannot rate Graybeard's emergency response. Minor improvements are needed to make this an exceptional rather than adequate rental: The hot water setting was just warm enough to have a quick shower and soaking in a jacuzzi or the upstairs tub was out of the question. The hot water setting should've been turned up by the property manager before we arrived. Surprisingly, there was a paucity of blankets--plenty of sheets but blankets were not there. It seemed like the property was outfitted for the summer even though our visit was at the end of October. Finally, the furniture needs an upgrade -- a quick trip to Hickory could remedy the situation. The main living room couch is an uncomfortable hide-a-sofa awkwardly situated without a good view of the television--problematic because we visited during the World Series. The upstairs queen bed was adequate but not great, dated and creaky. In summary, this is a beautiful rental property that seems to have a few kinks to be worked out to make it a stellar rental property.
