A Power House is an exciting collaboration between myself, Zoe Wolfe (artist) and my husband, Steven Shelendich (architect). It is named for its solar panel roof. We look forward to sharing this special place with you!
After entering through the front courtyard you emerge into the Great Room, an airy, open space perfect for sitting by the fireplace, napping in the day bed, or practicing yoga. A built in desk area is ideal for catching up on business-- WiFi included. The open and fully equipped kitchen includes a breakfast counter, as well as a cosy dinning nook. The bedroom has an expansive view of the wilderness, a walk in closet, and a queen sized bed. It, too, is elegantly decorated with contemporary art work and custom tile, as are the bathroom and shower. The day bed in the great room serves as an extra sleeping area for one adult or 2 children.
The sun floods in through the glass patio doors in winter, and in summer a cool breeze will flow in through open doors. Private patios front and back with views of the National Forest to the north, and all the way to Mexico in the south. The floor is heated for maximum winter comfort, and there is an air conditioner for the rare-heat of summer.
The Casita is stocked with information about the area, books, games, full kitchen including outdoor grill: everything for a comfortable stay. Summer guests enjoy fresh flowers growing in the front courtyard!
