Constructed of antique hand-hewn oak beams, wide-planked floors, and aged-wood ceilings, yet offering modern amenities such as silent radiant floor heat and hi-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, it is the only property of its kind and quality for vacation rentals within moderate driving distance (20 to 30 minutes)of downtown Santa Fe.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STANDARD NIGHTLY RATE QUOTED IS FOR TWO PEOPLE. THE RATE FOR FOUR IS $300, AND AND THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL $25 CHARGE FOR EACH ADDITIONAL PERSON and rates can be higher for holidays
A separate guest cabin with separate small kitchen and is joined to the main cabin by a covered porch. Altogether, the property sleeps up to nine people in three separate bedrooms with beds and private baths, living room with sofa bed and its own private bath, and guest cabin main room with cot.
The property is available November through February (possibly late October and early March some years). The final 2.5 miles of Forest Service road to the property is unpaved and bumpy in places. FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE IS RECOMMENDED AT TIMES. CALL. Snow plowing is provided by the owners.
Cell phone service is spotty in the cabin but usually working outside on most networks. Your cell phone number can be forwarded to the cabin phone, and free long distance with an agreed-on cap is available.
Though the Forest Service Road to the cabin continues to the Santa Fe Ski Basin, it is closed in winter just past the cabin. Driving time to the Santa Fe Ski Basin is over an hour. You can have someone drop you off at the top of the road where it joins the ski basin road and ski the six miles down to the cabin from there (best with cross country skis but possible with downhill skis, a good amount of poling).
