If you are feeling adventurous there are all sorts of water activities to do as well. Daily fishing trips, speed boats , boat tours, para-sailing, swimming, surfing and surfing lessons, skim boarding, jet ski, etc. Tennis courts and golf courses are just a short drive away.
Off Season Activities & Attractions - Peaceful days and nights. September is still very warm and shops and restaurants are open. Most attractions are open. Weekly rates are reduced.
In early April and early October is the Spring and Fall block parties. Loads of crafts and merchandise to buy and wonderful food too. Golf courses are a short drive away. Mid November, for one weekend, is the annual Holiday Celebration of the Finest Arts and Crafts Fair.

The New Years Eve Annual Celebration. A Nonalcoholic New Years Eve event for families! 4 pm-midnight. Ending with fireworks, weather permitting. Complete programs are available on line.
Considering a big night out on the town, Atlantic City is less than 10 miles away! Seasonally, there are many beach bars to visit. For the kids... the Rain Forest Cafe and shopping.
A fun day trip could be to visit the Cape County May Zoo. (11am-4:30pm) Admission is Free! Over 250 species. Train and Carousel Rides are reasonably priced. (When visiting the zoo, donations are greatly appreciated.)
