TIMBER MOUNTAIN LODGE

Details

Home Description

Welcome to Timber Mountain Lodge - lovely, log, luxury! Two cedar rocking chairs on the front and a massive log bench invite you to c'mon  over and sit a spell! Open the door to your “home away from home” and come inside.

The towering vaulted ceilings and the stone fireplace adorn this great log room!.  We have two comfortable couches- one that makes out into a queen bed.  A separate recliner and my mama's antique rocking chair complete the group and all are waiting for your family to take time to sit down, rest, relax, and get acquainted all over again.

The first thing  to do is pick  bedrooms. Mom and dad claim the master bedroom with the sumptuous king size bed and roomy en-suite bath. Mom is already dreaming of the relaxing bubble bath in that amazing jetted tub! Double sinks and a separate shower complete this bathroom. (You could get lost in here. My kitchen at home is not this big!)

A door opens right out onto the patio from the bedroom.

Dad has quickly spotted all the TVs in the cabin. He checked out the living room wall-mounted 47” flat screen TV. And he knows--no Disney Channel for him!  Each bedroom also has 32 inch flat screens. Every family needs a break from togetherness at times. There are also DVD/VCR combos in every room and we have a selection of DVD/VHS tapes in the credenza. A WII console is also available (no games, though). We also provide wireless internet and free long distance on a landline phone.

OK… Back to the bedroom choosing.

Most teenagers love horses (or cowboys--right Brylyn??) and the next bedroom is a room dedicated to the old west. A super comfortable queen size bed provides great rest after a big day of fun in Branson. Enjoy the rustic, western theme. A door leads right off the bedroom to the patio.

That leaves the cutest room for the rest of the family. The black bear family loves to have company and they are waiting to welcome to you to the Bear Room! The twin over queen bunk beds are “just right!” as Goldilocks would say.

Between the Bear Room and the Western Room is a full bath with a tub/shower combo. (Another family of black bears lives in there too. Don’t worry—I think they are all related.)

Now that the bedrooms are claimed, it is time to check out the eating arrangements. The dream kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils—virtually everything you need to cook up yummy meals. The new Maytag appliances are so much fun to use! Cooking at the cabin is so much better than cooking at home. There is a coffeepot, toaster, blender, sandwich maker, mixer, griddle, wafflemaker, roaster, and crockpot.

Then imagine all sitting down together at the massive dining table. It has chairs for eight and another leaf under the master bed can make the table even bigger. Or if the weather is nice, you can eat outside on the patio, where there are 2 tables and 8 chairs. The views into the woods are especially relaxing. You might even see whitetail deer or turkey come by for a visit. A propane grill is located outside on the patio.

Also on the patio is the awesome, 6 person, Dreammaker spa! There is nothing better than relaxing in the soothing water after a day of walking the hills in Silver Dollar City!! Hiking the trails around the area can also make the hot tub a necessary ending for a great day!

This cabin has a great, homey feeling and you will love it at first sight! We surely did! Timber Mountain Lodge-where you enter as guests and leave as friends!!

Home of Timber Mountain Lodge, Wilderness Retreat, Deer Run, and Ozark Legends Lodge

Branson Cedars Resort is a lovely community filled with rustic, but elegant-- true log homes. Nestled in the beautiful Ozark hills, these homes are nearly all individually owned and operated by their respective owners, which is easily evident by the obvious loving care shown to them.  Unique names, landscaped yards, and individual, personal touches all set this community apart from the big-business- run nightly rentals. These cabins are designed and operated for you, our guests, to have a special vacation in a real “home away from home.”

We love our wooded views from the back patios and decks and wildlife is in abundance. Don’t be surprised if deer, turkey, or other critters happen by as you bask in the quiet serenity of the Ozarks. The woodchucks are especially prevalent and often have their families out for a walk. They don’t seem to mind sharing their woods with us. We love the dogwoods in the spring, the glorious autumn colors in the fall, the snowy wonderland of winter, and thick green foliage of the summer. Every season is a spectacular show and you don’t even have to drive into Branson to enjoy it.

Branson Cedars once was surrounded by a golf course, but due to changes in management and developers, the necessary maintenance was not carried out. However, with the increased popularity of Disc Golf, the course was recently found to be a perfect fit for that sport. After the first tournament, the reviews of the course have been great. The course is open to our guests after checking in at the office. A healthy walk or a short drive will take you to a wonderful fun area where you will find an outdoor pool (open Memorial Day to Labor Day) and play area. A large sunbathing patio surrounds the pool. Volleyball, tetherball, a log tetter/totter, wooden play set, and more provide a wonderful place for the kids to work off some energy.

Branson Cedars is still very much a growing neighborhood, as evidenced by the new treehouses under construction at the entrance of the community. The construction is far enough away from the cabins to not cause any disturbances but it is fun to watch their progress as you drive by them daily. And, of course, if you are looking to buy a cabin or treehouse, the developer will be happy to talk to you. Again, we as owners are all separate from the developers. We are located just about 8 miles south of the 65/76 intersection. It only takes about 10 minutes to be there or to be at one of the great grocery stores in Hollister. We are about 5 minutes away from Big Cedar Lodge where all their restaurants and many of their businesses are open to the public. A wonderful 5K track surrounds Big Cedar and for the adventure-seekers, there is  a  2-3 mile real wilderness hike,  just past their stables. However, walking the old golf cart trails, around Branson Cedars, provides quite a workout! Going up and down those beautiful,  rolling hills can certainly get your heart pumping!

Several Tablerock Lake accesses are within 10 minutes, including the BassPro Marina (formerly Gages Marina).

The location is perfect to get away from it all,  if you prefer;  and then when you are ready-in a few short minutes, you can be right  back in the middle of  all the fun Branson and the area has to offer.

Branson Cedars Resort is certainly not a Big Cedar Lodge, but we love it and we think you will too!
