Welcome to Deer Run Cabin! What a great place for family gathering or a romantic get-away. The two rocking chairs on the front porch symbolize our wish for your stay in our cabin—rock, rest, relax, and totally enjoy your “home away from home.” We love our cabins and we love to share them with nice folks like you. We have tried to supply everything you might need during your stay with us, from firewood to spices. We have provided the things we enjoy and we trust you will too!
What a great room! The great room has a couch (makes out into a queen bed), and a dual reclining loveseat. Super comfy! You can kick back leather recliner! Oh my! Wait till you check it out! A 42” flat screen LDC HDTV and DVD player along with numerous movies are housed in the rustic entertainment center. There is also an assortment of games. Don’t forget the wood-burning fireplace. The firewood is right out back. Nothing is better than a warm fire on a cool night!! Grab a cup of hot chocolate, a snuggly blanket, and cuddle up with your honey.
It is so much more fun to cook at the cabin than it is at home! While there are tons of great places to eat around the area, it is nice to sometimes have a home cooked meal away from the crowds. The kitchen is fully equipped with newer stainless steel, Whirlpool appliances. Also provided are a coffeepot, toaster, hand mixer, blender, crockpot, griddle, a large roaster, waffle maker, stoneware dishes for 12, pots and pans, and silverware. The beautiful cedar table and chairs were made by local craftsman and will seat 6-7. (4 chairs and a bench)
Wireless internet and a landline telephone with unlimited long distance are provided for you.
Don’t worry about packing a lot of clothes or taking home your dirty clothes. Use the Whirlpool front loading washer and dryer to keep up with your laundry.
For the young and young at heart, climb the ladder/stairs up to our Deer Camp Loft. You will find a daybed, a 32” flat screen TV, DVD player, movies, a chess table, and an air hockey table. Have a great time playing, then relax on the queen size daybed, and have a special “camp out” in the Deer Camp Loft! No grown-ups allowed.
After enjoying the shopping, shows, and fun of Branson and the Tri Lakes area, you’ll be sure to get a wonderful night’s rest in the massive log, king sized bed, with a luxurious Simmons Beautyrest mattress. (Steps are provided for your climb into the bed!) You can climb in the bed right after your relaxing soak in the jetted tub. If a quick shower is in order after a day of boating or fishing or hiking- a separate full-size shower is available also.
There are two more themed bedrooms with comfy queen sized, log beds also with sumptuous pillow-top mattresses. A full bath is located between those two rooms. 32 inch flat screen TVs and DVD players are provided in every room. Extra pillows and blankets are provided.
No description adequately conveys the peaceful feeling you can enjoy on the back patio. A patio table with 6 chairs is a great place to enjoy morning coffee or a quiet supper. Overlooking the Ozark woods, you can feel the relaxation in your spirit as you breathe in the fresh air. Relaxing and swinging your cares away on the rustic log swing is the best therapy I know to soothe a frazzled mind. There is no better rest than falling asleep to the serene symphony of the forest sounds.
An awesome, relaxing, 6-person Dream Maker spa is located on the back patio and is a great place to let your cares bubble away.
Deer Run cabin is an amazing log cabin that you will love to call home.
Home of Timber Mountain Lodge, Wilderness Retreat, Deer Run, and Ozark Legends Lodge
Branson Cedars Resort is a lovely community filled with rustic, but elegant-- true log homes. Nestled in the beautiful Ozark hills, these homes are nearly all individually owned and operated by their respective owners, which is easily evident by the obvious loving care shown to them. Unique names, landscaped yards, and individual, personal touches all set this community apart from the big-business- run nightly rentals. These cabins are designed and operated for you, our guests, to have a special vacation in a real “home away from home.”
We love our wooded views from the back patios and decks and wildlife is in abundance. Don’t be surprised if deer, turkey, or other critters happen by as you bask in the quiet serenity of the Ozarks. The woodchucks are especially prevalent and often have their families out for a walk. They don’t seem to mind sharing their woods with us. We love the dogwoods in the spring, the glorious autumn colors in the fall, the snowy wonderland of winter, and thick green foliage of the summer. Every season is a spectacular show and you don’t even have to drive into Branson to enjoy it.
Branson Cedars once was surrounded by a golf course, but due to changes in management and developers, the necessary maintenance was not carried out. However, with the increased popularity of Disc Golf, the course was recently found to be a perfect fit for that sport. After the first tournament, the reviews of the course have been great. The course is open to our guests after checking in at the office. A healthy walk or a short drive will take you to a wonderful fun area where you will find an outdoor pool (open Memorial Day to Labor Day) and play area. A large sunbathing patio surrounds the pool. Volleyball, tetherball, a log tetter/totter, wooden play set, and more provide a wonderful place for the kids to work off some energy.
Branson Cedars is still very much a growing neighborhood, as evidenced by the new treehouses under construction at the entrance of the community. The construction is far enough away from the cabins to not cause any disturbances but it is fun to watch their progress as you drive by them daily. And, of course, if you are looking to buy a cabin or treehouse, the developer will be happy to talk to you. Again, we as owners are all separate from the developers. We are located just about 8 miles south of the 65/76 intersection. It only takes about 10 minutes to be there or to be at one of the great grocery stores in Hollister. We are about 5 minutes away from Big Cedar Lodge where all their restaurants and many of their businesses are open to the public. A wonderful 5K track surrounds Big Cedar and for the adventure-seekers, there is a 2-3 mile real wilderness hike, just past their stables. However, walking the old golf cart trails, around Branson Cedars, provides quite a workout! Going up and down those beautiful, rolling hills can certainly get your heart pumping!
Several Tablerock Lake accesses are within 10 minutes, including the BassPro Marina (formerly Gages Marina).
The location is perfect to get away from it all, if you prefer; and then when you are ready-in a few short minutes, you can be right back in the middle of all the fun Branson and the area has to offer.
Branson Cedars Resort is certainly not a Big Cedar Lodge, but we love it and we think you will too!
