My family stayed at Cliff's Ridge for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. The house was extremely clean, was a perfect set up for little ones & furry ones, and we really loved the well-equipped kitchen. We all had an awesome time and Cat was incredible to work with. We are already planning our next stay!

Great rental near Marquette!
I had a family member getting married in Marquette, and most of our family is from downstate in the Lansing/Flint area. We were looking into hotels and were shocked by some of the prices. We also wanted to spend time together as a family while in Marquette. I found Cliff's Ridge and we booked it. It was my wife and I, and two of my cousins and their husbands. We had six people and all slept quite comfortably. There were three queen bedrooms, and had another room with twin size bunk beds. There were also a couple of futons that could have been used. Since I found the place, my family gave us the master bedroom which had its own full bathroom, private deck outdoors, sky lights, and a living space in our room. It was very nice. The owners were great with directions on how to find the place, and were great at communication throughout the process. After arrival I had phone numbers for both the owner and caretakers in case of emergencies and received emails from both making sure we had all we needed. The weekend we were in Marquette was the first rainy weekend of this long hot summer I think, so some of our outdoor plans had to be cancelled. We, as well as many of my other family members had booked the Pictured Rocks boat tour but it was cancelled due to weather. While they were checking in with me to make sure we were taken care of, the owner also made suggestions on other activities we could do in the area, since our plans had changed. They were great and very helpful! The house has a reverse setup, with the 4 bedrooms on the first floor near the entrance. Their is a stairwell leading up to a spacious gathering area and kitchen upstairs where we spent most of our time. We had access to a well stocked full kitchen and refrigerator with all of the appliances we needed. There is a large table that seats 8 and another smaller table that can seat 3 or 4. The night before the wedding, we had some of our other cousins over for dinner (I grilled bacon burgers on the provided gas grill, which was very nice). We had about 11 people in the upstairs area comfortably while we had dinner, played cards, and had a good time. There is also a large flat screen tv with a good cable package which included FSD to watch the Tigers. The very nice couch features footrests, and there is a recliner also. All of this about 10 mins from Marquette. Far enough away to not be downtown but close enough to be near everything. We couldn't have been happier!! 5 stars!

Great Place for Ski Weekend
Spacious home located a mile away from Marquette Mountain. This was our 2nd stay at this home this ski season. Price is great. Beds are comfortable. Home is clean, kitchen has everything you need. Having laundry makes it really easy if you don't want to have to pack a lot. Such a QUICK jaunt over to beautiful Marquette Mountain. 5 minutes to downtown...very convenient location. Great place to stay!!

Perfect for ski weekend!
Stayed at Cliff's Ridge with a group of friends for a ski trip weekend. The house is only a few minutes from Marquette Mountain. The house was nice and cozy. We loved having a full kitchen so we didn't have to bring dishes and utensils. There is chopped firewood so we could warm up after a long day on the slopes! The house was clean when we arrived and we'll definitely be staying again in the future!

Beautiful 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home near the ski hill and minutes from everything in Marquette.
Cliffs Ridge is a comfortable, spacious home with four separate bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 futons and a reclining full-size sofa and chair. It has cathedral ceilings and a corner wood-burning fireplace for family togetherness and privacy all wrapped in one. The home is located less than one mile south of Marquette Mountain Ski Area on M-553 (the closest accommodation to the hill), minutes from downtown Marquette and magnificent Lake Superior.
Cliffs Ridge is so-named because you can see its rooftop from Cliffs Ridge Run at the top of Chair #1 at Marquette Mountain, formerly Cliffs Ridge Ski Area. There is no apostrophe in 'Cliffs' because it was originally named after the Cliffs Dow Company. The exposed beams in the roof and Great Room are actually recycled from the old Tracy Mine in Ishpeming.
Part of the beauty of renting Cliffs Ridge is its personality and warmth -- you can enjoy family and friends without the commercial feeling of a hotel, and with the great kitchen space you can enjoy excellent family dining without the expense of going out to eat for every meal.
Fully furnished, it is a wonderful place to rejuvenate and spend time with the ones you love. Relax in front of the fireplace after a great day of skiing, curl up and watch a movie in the comfortable seating in the living room, enjoy drinks on the 2nd-story deck after a day at the beach, or read a book in one of the private bedrooms.
Cliffs Ridge has four separate bedrooms: a master queen with master bath and futon; a bunk-bed room with two singles; two queen rooms separated by French doors with another full bath and door to outside. It also has two futons suitable for kids (one in master and one in living room) and reclining sofa and chair in the living room. There is an additional bathroom on the floor with the living room, dining and kitchen area.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything necessary to feed a crowd including two crock pots. There are two gas grills; one on the upper deck off the living area; the other is in the garage and can be used as backup.
This year-around vacation home is the perfect spot for family reunions, ski vacations, NMU parent activity weekends, wedding parties and more. Our hope is that your family can enjoy it the way we have for 25+ years – and that it can become your Marquette home-away-from-home as well!
The Marquette area has 35 miles of interconnected paved bike trails and miles of mountain biking trails as well – accessible directly from the house. Snowmobile parking is available at Marquette Mountain with access to the trails. Cliffs Ridge is also two miles from Blueberry Ridge Cross-Country Ski Trails.
Minutes from Lake Superior with miles of gorgeous sand beach; minutes from Marquette with great shopping and restaurants; Northern Michigan University functions; seconds from one of the best ski hills in the Midwest and XC ski trails; M-553 connects to all of the surrounding bike paths and trails; mountain biking and climbing on the dirt road immediately north of the house. This is a great gathering house for bridal functions and family reunions.
