Relaxing and beautiful

Our first time in Glen Arbor and we were extremely happy with the location and the home. The house is beautifully decorated - loved the great room and the hand-carved bedroom set! Our 4 kids stayed in the bedroom with 2 sets of bunks - it was perfect! The outdoor grills were perfect and the fire pit was busy as the s'more making station. It is also nice that the backyard is shaded! You could enjoy the outdoors without roasting in the sun. The house is located just off Glen Lake, an amazingly clean, spring-fed, turquoise-colored lake that was truly breathtaking! I couldn't believe the color of the water, it felt like we were in the Caribbean not upper Michigan. There is kayaking and paddle boards near to rent, if you don't have your own. Or you can hang out on the awesome, sand bottom sandbar with your boat. We enjoyed the lake so much! We also did some sightseeing! I highly recommend Sleeping Bear Dunes - you get an amazing view of Glen Lake and if you continue walking you can see Lake Michigan. We also drove through Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive (the entrance into one gets you in the other!) - don't skip it! It was beautiful!!! Overall, we loved the area and the accommodations were AWESOME! Thanks, Dave!!!! We hope to return!

Beautiful place in a Beautiful area

We have been going to Glen Lake for many years and this was our first time at this property, absolutely loved the place! Home is beautifully decorated, well appointed, clean and in good order. The large kitchen and adjacent family room worked perfectly for our large group (10) at meal time or when just relaxing. Large deck and fire pit were also a big hit, the home flows very well for entertaining. Kids loved the family of turkey's passing thru the yard almost daily and all the other wild life about, it's a wonderful setting. The area is spectacular with so many things to do, Dave (the owner) was a great host and introduced us to a few new attractions we had not seen before. Highly recommended, this will definitely be our annual Glen Lake spot from now on!!

Awesome weekend getaway!

my family and I enjoyed our Presidents day weekend trip to this beautiful home in the woods! Dave was the best and the home is in great shape! we had everything we needed and then some! close to town and the Chili cook off! I was a little nervous as some reviews cited items in disrepair... we found the home, clean, warm, and in excellent condition! Thanks again for exceeding our expectations.
