Pics don't do it justice - and the pics are great!

This property is AMAZING. It's larger than the pics make it look due to higher ceilings. They have everything you might need, including children's dishes/cups/utensils. "We" consist of myself and husband, two kids ages 2 and 4, our nanny, and my teenage niece. We were very comfortable, plenty of space. Everything inside the house is great, but what really takes it to the next level is the deck and grill. We spent a lot of time out there, when we weren't at the beach. We are booking for next year, this time for a full week. It was that good.

A Wonderful, Memorable Stay

My family really had a very memorable getaway stay at this Beautiful home. It was well stocked with just about everything you forgot to bring and more! A very well taken care of home that we cherished and appreciated the owner (Cindy) allowing my family and I staying there for three nights. Cindy made us feel at home and was available if we needed her. Staying at her home with my three grown sons and their wives and three young grandchildren, along with my husband and I. We had more than enough room! The outside was just as nice, using the wonderful grill and fire pit. We walked to many shops and to the beach, where we built a hugh sandcastle and walked the pier. We had so many great memories under one roof, it was perfect!...Thank you so much Cindy! We would love to return and would highly recommend it to a large family of any ages. p.s.We loved the Sweet- Waters (a restaurant near by) pizza, best we ever had!

Beautiful house with great amenities!

We had a mini reunion in this house with 6 adults, 7 kids, and a baby. We had a wonderful time- the house is very spacious and comfortable. Cindy, the owner, took great care to ensure that we were properly settled. She even brought over a blender upon request and was always available to answer any questions. She also provided extra baby supplies and beach toys for the kids, which was very appreciated. The house is also well stocked with DVDs, cards, and many games. It is also walking distance to the beaches and parks. You won't regret your stay here !

Large and magnificent home

Once I decided to rent the vacation home in Lexington, Michigan, Cindy the manager went beyond my expectations to smooth the transaction process. My wife and I, together with two other couples, rented the home for a week. Space was never an issue for the six of us. The home was very large and impressive throughout. All our local visitors wanted to tour the home because of the reputation of its stately manner. Given its age, it was very well maintained. Cindy made certain we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our daily routines. I would recommend this home to any large group visiting this area of Michigan.

Great House!!

We will definitely use this home again for future trips to Lexington. It was amazing! With a large family and 8 grandkids it's hard to find a place big enough for our gang. Everyone loved the house and it had a wonderful charm about it. Cindy was great and very helpful. Plenty of necessities included in the house which is a great added extra. Highly recommend it!

Wonderful Stay

Our stay at the home was very enjoyable, we were a walk away from everything and felt we had a very private area to entertain ourselves. Our group included babies, tweens, teenagers and adults and everyone enjoyed their stay! The home was beautiful and everyone could get away in private if they needed to. Our host was very accommodating, full of information and very personable. I would recommend a stay here for anyone.

Beautiful, spacious home

We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to return. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of space to spread out for the week. We had the a/c on the first few days but found it really wasn't necessary with the breeze from the lake. It was perfect with the windows open. I wouldn't change a thing except maybe adding a blender in the kitchen for smoothies. One of my friends would have liked that. Lol. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your place. We made some great memories on our trip and it was a pleasure to meet you.

Great Girls Weekend Retreat

We had a recent girls weekend at the place. It was perfect for our group of 8, who have been doing these weekends for 32 years. It is very accessible to walking around town, to the harbor, beach and restaurants. The accommodations at the home were fantastic with every amenity we needed. The owners are available and helpful of what ever your group may need. It is clean, well kept and comfortable for an escape weekend.

Our 2nd Stay at Lester Street Retreat

We enjoyed our stay here so much last 4th of July weekend that we decided to return again this year. The house provides a perfect setting for relaxing and we had 3 other couples join us for portions of the week as well as visits from our boating friends staying at the marina. Everyone was impressed with the accommodations. We have signed up again for next year!

The home is beautiful, clean, neat, and very well equipped. We loved the ability to walk to the shops, restaurants, bars, and beach. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Lester Retreat

If you happen to need lodging in Lexington or the surrounding area, this home is a choice you won't regret. My family and I (nine women) had the pleasure of staying at this house and absolutely loved it. We had a great experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The owner is extremely friendly, was flexible to work with and overall has a great personality. She lives fairly close so was able to make sure all our needs were met (which were not many as the house is VERY well equipped). She enthusiastically fulfilled our requests (and comments). We remarked to her that a larger garbage can and a rubber spatula would be nice for the next guests. We returned from a trip to town and found both items on the porch. The added touch she provides makes it feel like home. The appearance of the house was even better than we had expected – the photos don’t do it justice. Rooms are spacious and the house was in great order and very neat and clean. The bed were comfortable. There were many amenities that made our stay extremely comfortable including a washer/dryer, a few TV’s, DVD player, wifi, along with books and games. The house is very close to the beach, in a quiet residential area that is not on top of town, but you can still walk there comfortably. I would absolutely recommend this house to everyone and would definitely do business with the owners again. We felt quite comfortable and at home and are looking forward to staying there again.

Great Place to Stay!

We rented the house over the Labor Day weekend and absolutely loved it! The house is very family friendly and had everything we needed. It was close to the downtown, walking distance for the beach and the park. We didn't have to use the car, we walked everywhere. The owners are so great, they gave us a tour of the house, explained everything we needed to know, and were just a phone call away for any questions. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. You will enjoy it!

Four Sisters Getaway!

Love, love, love, love! We booked the best week for many reasons! The art fair was in town when we got there. Easy walk to the town with a tasty lunch at Sweetwater. The home was immaculate and the grounds are beautiful. So peaceful. The weather was also perfect, but if we'd had a rainy day, it would have been a lovely day for reading...didn't happen. We walked everywhere! Enjoyed the local neighborhoods and beautiful homes along with the beach and gorgeous harbor. The town of Lexington is so quaint and just comes alive in the summer. Great music and local free concerts add to the fun. Port Huron is just a 20 minute drive, which was perfect as our two brothers live there and were able to pop out for dinner. I really can't say enough about the beautiful historic home. Needless to say, we've already booked the same week for next year. Sorry, first week of August is gone!

First Ever Family Reunion Vacation

Lester Street is a beautiful and historic home in a quaint town. Whether you are looking to stay for a few days, a week, or longer, this is a wonderful home. There is never a need to re-enter your car once you arrive as everything is within walking distance. If you do find that you need the city, it is an easy 15 minute ride away. There you will find all the name-brand stores. The neighborhood in Lexington is peaceful and the local eateries are fabulous (we personally recommend Sweetwater). Lester Street is unique and each room has it's own comforts, but my favorite has to be the relaxing soak in the claw-foot tub. The hosts live locally and are truly helpful. They are very intentional about the comfort of their guests and have stocked the home with many extra amenities. If you love to cook, the kitchen provides you with any utensil or cookware that you might need and enough place settings to host a fabulous dinner. We were a large group (8 adults, 2 babies, 2 toddlers) and found plenty of space to be together and enough quiet places to be apart. If you are looking for a home where you can get away from it all and relish in the luxury of time; you will be pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend the Lester Street Retreat!

Beautiful Historic Home away from Home

We spent the 4th of July Week at the Lester St. Retreat and had a wonderful time. Cindy gave us a detailed walk-through of the house on our arrival and it was even better than the pictures in this listing. We found the house to be very comfortable and have everything we needed during our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and all we needed to get were the groceries. It was an easy stroll to town for shopping or the marina to visit with friends. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked it for next year!
