Home Description

There are homes that are advertized as oceanfront, but upon arrival,it is apparent that oceanfront really means "near the ocean" With regret, you discover that you must walk or drive to the ocean. There's nothing you can do about it but wish you had contiued to peruse the site. However, when WE say oceanfront, we mean that after you wake up, cook a delicious breakfast in a fully stocked kitchen with every ammenity, eat inside at one of the tables in the house that seat 17, or on the porch lined with rocking chairs or in our massive front yard at a table with amazingly comfotable chairs, you decide to hit the beach. You grab your beachtowel and beach chair, and walk across the street enter a 5 foot path lined with white shells and the kind of fence you see painted in ocean scenes and step onto one of the most beautiful, private 3 mile stretch of beach anywhere south of Boston, including congested Cape Cod. If you're an early riser, you would have already witnessed a spectacular crimson sunrise brightening the sea-blue horizon while sipping cofee or tea rocking on the porch breathing in the amazing sea air, cooled by sea breezes. Although my family, which began with my grandparents over 80 years ago, spent all our summers here, we have never taken this blessing for granted. The house contains a fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher and dryer in one of the 2 pantries, 3 dining areas, 2 living room spaces, each with HD flat screen televisions with Xfinity and Netflix, and 6 spacious bedrooms. On the second floor is a private room with a queen bed, another room with a double bed, a third bedroom with a twin bed with windows on every side to view the beach, Boston lighthouse and the green- blue Atlantic Ocean and a room with side by side double beds. There is a full bathroom on this floor with tub and walkin shower while the first floor imcludes a half bath and another full bat tub and shower. On the third floor there are 2 bedrooms, each with with a skylight , 2 twin beds and a double bed. There is central air, if the wealther is hot enough. We want you to feel at home and be as comfortable and happy as we are when we arent renting. Back patio with grill is adjacent to the bocce/horseshoe pit that runs the length of the house.

About The Area

The saying goes, "If your lucky enough to be at Nantasket Beach, then you're lucky enough." Chronicle once described the area as "A hidden gem." This beach town, just 20 minutes south of Boston, has the feel of Cape Cod but what it doesn't have are the congested streets, limited parking, waiting lines and closed beaches because of shark sitings. The town of Hull sits on a peninsula between Boston and Cape Cod and although it is well known and loved by the many winter and summer residents and innumerable loyal vacationers, it is one of those beaches that has somehow continued to elude the masses. Because of that, the beach, restaurants, boardwalk, arcades, ice ream parlors etc. are bustling with Nantasket beach enthusiasts but are never overcrowded. Ferries from local piers can transport you to Boston for wonderfully exhaustiong sightseening excursions, but allow you to return to the serenity of our home where your extended family can gather comfortably in our many inside and outside spaces. So while you are together, there are more than enough areas to hang out.

House Rules

I prefer not to use the term rules because it sounds so uninviting. I provide a contract that specifies our expectations so that your experience as well as ours is a positive one. The house sleeps 17, has parking for 6 cars and is in a wonderful neighborhood where people watch out for eachother. We have lived here as summer residents for over 80 years and prefer multigenerational fanilies who want a happy, hassle free vacation where a family can gather together and  lifetime of memories can be made.

Suitability

Suitable for all, although it is not wheelchair accessible; there are only 4 stairs front and back to enter the home and once inside there are multiple couches to relax on.

Fantastic week at Hull Ma 59 Beach Ave

Janice D. said... Nov 7, 2017 Fantastic week at Hull MA59 Beach Avenue, Hull, MA, 02045, United States Date of Stay Aug 11, 2017 Helpful votes: 1/0 I am so glad we found this magnificent home for our summer escape (4 families) it suited our needs perfectly. It was beautiful, very clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was pretty cool it had an inside window that accessed the dining area, the kids thought that was awesome. The kitchen was also very well-stocked. We loved all the pictures around the whole house, they tell a very nice story. The beach area is just across the street so that made it very easy to come and go as we needed. Nice quiet outside area with a basketball hoop and plenty of chairs and tables for games, gatherings and grilling. The owners were exceedingly responsive and did everything possible to make our stay perfect. We look forward to another stay! Thanks for giving us a wonderful place to unwind! Definitely a memorable vacation!

Perfection

The Shine family makes you feel like family upon arrival. This house is so big and there is plenty of room for sleeping as well as spralling all over the house! Pleanty of kitchen stuff amd a big pantry! We werent sure if a light wasnt working or if the bulb was fried so we texted them to see if there were bulbs hiding somewhere and they came over to change the bulb!!! So awesome! They responded quickly to any questions we had and left us to enjoy our family vacation. There was a ton of parking too. To sum it all up, the house was perfection and the Shines made it that much better!

Excellent location and house

Ari G. said... Nov 27, 2017 Excellent Location and House! 59 Beach Avenue, Hull, MA, 02045, United States Date of Stay Aug 20, 2017 Helpful votes: 0/0 Location is amazing as the house is across the street from the beach. The beach itself is amazing. We had five adults and seven children and the house was very comfortable as we all had a place to sleep. The kitchen is well equipped with all the essential hardware to prepare our meals. The dining room seats at least twelve. There is central air conditioning, which was a huge plus for us (as this is unique for Nantasket) We used the laundry machine everyday and was a big plus. There is a large wrap around porch where we had many our meals as we watch the ocean. The Shines were very easy to work with and made our stay problem free. We highly recommend this house to any potential renters.

It was very clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of room for our large family. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes and etc. The washer and dryer were a huge asset. We all loved the large porch, plenty of parking and the children and dads enjoyed basketball and bocce ball. The Shines were charming and very accommodating. Jane Tenda

Allison G. said... Nov 2, 2017 Location! Location! Location!59 Beach Avenue, Hull, MA, 02045, United States Date of Stay Jul 29, 2017 IF you’re looking for a place to accommodate a large extended family with children, this is it! Our family has stayed here twice over the last four years. Located directly across the street from Nantasket Beach, no time or energy is wasted walking to this pristine private beach. The kitchen is equipped with all the essential hardware to prepare and serve breakfast or side dishes for barbeque dinners grilled outdoors! The dining room seats at least twelve. There is central air to keep you comfy on those sizzling summer, muggy nights when the ocean breeze is not quite enough. Having a laundry room off the kitchen to wash and dry clothes was terrific! We used the clothes line for towels after returning from the beach after using the outdoor hoses to wash off the sand. There’s a kid-friendly room for playing games and watching TV and a formal room with fireplace where adults can quietly read a book or watch the evening news. This home is filled with family memories that made it feel like "a home away from home"" for us. We appreciate having a home where we can enjoy a summer vacation week with our 7 grandkids and their parents all under one roof! Owners are friendly, caring people and easily reached if needed.
