Modern Bay House with Expansive Views and Seclusion

Details

Home Description

A world away from it all - Hoopers' Island is actually comprised of three islands with authentic working watermen villages. The main island was allegedly bought from the Indians in exchange for blankets, what a deal huh? No bartering for anything needed once you arrive, Bay Water Cottage is wonderfully appointed and breathes with beautiful contemporary and organic architecture. We love the shade trees, the huge water views, the individual bedroom balconies, the deck and private dock – fab for fishing and crabbing. If you like to paddle – check it out – 3 kayaks and a canoe provided for guests. Look closely at the exterior photos and you will get a glimpse of your own island/sand bar on which to relax. Envision paddling a picnic lunch, cooler and blanket over to your sand bar and spending the day swimming and soaking in the sun. Paddle back should your refreshments dwindle. At day’s end store your boats and relax dockside drinking in the sunset views, grabbing a game of ping pong and grilling out. Exploring the Blackwater Refuge or the Harriet Tubman trail are at your doorstep but you may want to simply paddle the day away outside your backdoor.
